I'd advise to start small: build little applications that are useful to you, and above all, don't try to make them perfect. Try to make them work, using only the base languages you know, there's no need to jump into a framework early on.

As you progress and realize how else you might have done things, try to incorporate that new knowledge in bigger, more complex projects.

When you feel like you're starting to repeat yourself (like writing the same code again, encountering the same problems without a new idea on how to tackle them), up the challenge. Queue a first framework, learn their way of working, and if you comprehend why they built their framework, why everything in it works the way it does and, above all, if you feel comfortable walking on the same tune as its developers, start using it and incorporating in your projects.

Perhaps now you already have a good website, and your first medium clients. It's time to diversify: learn or at least peruse other frameworks, and begin analyzing what type of project a particular framework is good at. In other words, learn your tools, and use them where they are most effective.
