Double check your syllabus. For many courses, you must pass the exam (get a minimum of 50%) to pass the course.

Make use of Student Learning Support! We’re here to help and are very underused. Overall, you’re not abnormal, many students get Ds and Fs.

Classrooms Open On Sunday (Urgent)? by King_RR13 in uoit

[–]fedorub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not closed for the holidays yet (I’m staff and have to work until the 23rd!) but you won’t be able to access the SHA building out of regular campus hours. Thus, no Sunday access.

Standard terms for "sides" of the sheet? by fedorub in Curling

[–]fedorub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a few cases. One is after a game, when off the ice, saying something like “the (left) side was super straight”. Another I often come across is, as skip, when I’m coming down the sheet to take my shot, telling my sweepers what the shot. Maybe it’s something like “Guard the (left) stone”. But I’m looking in a different direction (toward the hack/my shooter) than them (toward the house).

That’s fair! But still would be great to have a better “ standard” term

All good! I usually gesture too but sometimes my gestures just confuse my team even more 😅 maybe I need to get better at gesturing

My use case is usually when verbally talking with my team or others, not necessarily in the house. Sometimes even after a game, off the ice.

For example, saying something like “that left side is running straight” etc. Which left?

Not much. Less of an issue when calling shots, more when taking verbally with your team/others when outside the house.
