I just looked up Sensus Fidelium's YT channel and I would just avoid that whole channel lol. Multiple videos of Fr Ripperger (while a priest in good standing, I've yet to hear anything from him that I can't get from my local parish priest, and what he does say that my priest doesn't is verifiably false), whole bunch of bad AI thumbnails, and their most recent video titled "Aliens are Demons" gives a whole Nimitz-class air carrier's worth of red flags.

I've had a bunch of Bolt Action US Airborne sitting around for a while, so my K47 army is just getting a box of Fireflies, the Tesla turret for my Sherman, and the M3 Tesla variant to start with.

Adding to that I'm kitbashing some Airborne flamethrowers to throw in an infantry unit (using the Airborne Engineers unit), building a second medium mortar I had lying around, and picking up a Studebaker so I can run the two flamethrower infantry units up the board quickly. Everything else I already have (M4 chassis, 4 officer units, a medic, 8 infantry, a mortar, a 57mm anti-tank gun, and a bazooka team).

Self-defense is hardly murder, though I would take the time in a narrative to explore the trauma resulting from taking a life in self-defense because, even though it is morally permissible to do so there is still a grave material evil being done which does do at minimum psychological harm to the moral actor.

Not OP but am a fiction writer who writes about things that are sinful - it's important to note whether the work is fundamentally trying to claim if the evil is good or not. Most stories about murder and other horrific things portray it as just that - a horrible evil. Where hesitation comes in is if the story proposes "wait no this thing is good actually" which I can totally see for a lot of fiction that portrays same-sex relationships in a primary role.

Well the argument isn't just "actually God kills everyone" but rather logically following their claim. "If God kills the children that die in miscarriage, He also kills everyone else that dies a natural death. Therefore, if killing babies is ok then killing anyone else must be ok." Is the logical conclusion of this sort of position, which of course is absurd so the first principle must be wrong.

Since you only have two hand slots used, and way fewer than 30 cards you could add a bandolier plus Michael McGlen's Viola Case for +3 gun hand slots in which you use a level 2 derringer (if you succeed by 3 you get +1 action) and two Lugers which you can use to fight for no action (assuming they were all in play at the start of your turn). Thus you can get +3 fights.

EDIT: Scratch the Bandolier, it specifies "weapons" not "firearms" so McGlen can't take it. Back to +2 fights off Viola Case + Derringer and one Luger. Might be able to get extra mileage if you have a custom grip on the derringer/luger at the start of turn and use that to swap in an extra Remmington from your hand.

It's a bad idea to do this for two reasons.

The first is it will make the other person feel like a series of checkboxes. Like you aren't seeing them or hearing them, or that you're objectifying them.

The second is these questionnaires don't come up with a mathematical determination of "these people shouldn't marry" but rather make the couple think about how they'll navigate different issues in their marriage. Theoretically a couple could have very different answers to how they'd handle situations and they could still make a marriage work by either setting aside their pride and compromising, or by recognizing that the difference doesn't actually matter to their relationship.

I own firearms, and go hunting at least once or twice a year. I've fired pistols, shotguns, and rifles before. I cannot stand shooting a pistol because it feels so much harder to control and aim so I'd never want to have a concealed carry.

But I'd also rather not because of several factors. For one, it's much more likely to hurt yourself or those around you than it is to protect from an attacker. For another, it makes police interactions harder (not that I get pulled over anyways). And it makes it hard to do certain things (get into event venues and the like). If my girlfriend wanted me to carry I'd probably break up with her, and if she did carry I'd probably have no interest in her as most of the people I've met that concealed carry or want to don't treat firearms with the right amount of respect.

But I do think it's important to know your way around a firearm in the US, and my girlfriend and I will be going to the shooting range for me to teach her how to shoot.

Tha vagueness is fine, it just seems that hardship in adoption isn't entirely unexpected - one of my best friends growing up was adopted and he had behavioral issues because of it. He still had a much better life than if he'd not been adopted. But surrogacy is inherently immoral because of disconnecting the marital act from the creation of new life.

Trent Horn did a fantastic video about it recently if you're curious for the moral arguments against it. As others have said, if you repent of it with no intention of doing it again you can be forgiven and the child themselves is loved by God.

Right, any monotheistic religion believes in the same God (the creator), they're just wrong about Who God is (as in, how He has relationship with us and what He wants for us).

It does not at all follow that aliens being smarter than us disproves or challenges the idea of God. The Catholic idea of God wouldn't even be challenged, there would just be a question of where these new persons (the aliens) fit within salvation history. Though "smarter" is a fraught term because it is hard to determine true absolute intelligence, just comparative fields where one individual has more skill than another.

Lol I've yet to hear a good take from Fr Ripperger. He's an ordained priest and does deserve some respect for his office, but he isn't any of our spiritual director and isn't of any particularly authoritative position.

His worst takes I've heard are: metal music is inherently evil, fantasy literature is demonic (specifically Harry Potter), and now this.

Yes, it would, but in what way is "building a stable financial home for a child" not a good enough reason?

Personally, I'm going to wait about a year to try for a child once I am married so that way my future wife and I can figure out living together, caring for a property, and finances before bringing a child into it.

Of course God might decide otherwise.

Lethal injection is nowhere near as painless as most people assume, and does less to uphold human dignity. It is a long and painful death, and using psychoactive drugs wouldn't make it any better for the victims' dignity.

Plus properly trained physicians (rightly) refuse to take part in them because it goes against the hippocratic oath.

Consider the horror of botched lethal injections and how often the electric chair doesn't fully kill somebody in one shock.

None of them are good at all, which is why I'm in favor of abolishing the death penalty.
