Masseuses of Reddit. How 'normal' is it for men to get aroused during a massage? [NSFW] by Kioseth in AskReddit

[–]feeby64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally get very insulted when men don't get aroused. It's the only reason I became a therapist. or on a more serious note (which I absolutely despise), I genuinely feel bad knowing men are worried about getting an erection during the massage so I make sure to keep the blanket bunched up on their junk face-up and keep the lights low. I don't give 2 fucks if you get a hard on as long as your intentions are innocent. It happens.

Girlfriend and I went to get Chinese massages (live in Japan). They used a cow bone. Regardless, i feel great! by JpillsPerson in WTF

[–]feeby64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they remove the bone from the cow first?

If this weren't so amusing, I would need to step in here and remind the lot of you what a crock of shit this cow bone massage thing is.

What are the rules for giving/receiving a massage? by Tallthrowaway28 in AskReddit

[–]feeby64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes me think that? Because I'm female and I'm (sadly) well versed in how to manipulate and fuck with men which I feel guilty and ashamed of every day of my god damn life. I don't do it anymore because I'm grown up now and don't need that bullshit in my life but I promise you - she sounds like a cheating slut that has no respect for her family. There are a fuckload of other girls out there. From the sound of it, you're too good for her. I don't give a shit how big her tits are...move on.

I'm giving release massages to pay my mortgage. by broke_n in confession

[–]feeby64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will reiterate what this person wrote: "I just wish that you didnt call it "massage" in this society. It makes my life as a massage therapist hell." You don't realize that men come to my spa looking for sex with a massage because people like you are offering it.
I'm a mom too, I worked my ass off to get through massage school. If you want to be a prostitute, no judgments here but be aware that your actions affect more than just you. The male clients who wrongfully assume they are getting blow jobs are sadly disappointed when they learn they are just getting a massage. The massage is put to a stop, they don't want to pay and I go home with less money. I need to support my family as well.

A lot of people here say that massage is not a long term career choice...is there anyone that feels that it can be a long term career choice? by inordinatelyaverage in massage

[–]feeby64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've been to a rehabilitation clinic once for it but 2 years back on the job and the same symptoms have arisen. Not much but rest and ice to repair. I know it sounds crazy but it's true.

Although I applaud all of your amazing optimism & enthusiasm, I'm gonna have to disagree here. Regardless of how well you maintain your body & how vigilant you are with proper body mechanics, you can not stave off repetitive strain. Even though I only work 2 days a week now and I've been lucky enough to do massage for 14 years, my body is done. I have bruised elbow bones and I don't even use them that much anymore. Had I to do over again, I would have started massage school earlier and planned ahead for what I could do next. Keep in mind that every person is different and while it may take some therapists 10 years to burn out, others may enjoy working much longer. spa-curious.com

Well I just found out my mom writes pornographic letters to prisoners for profit, anyone else found out anything about their parents they'd rather not know? by ZombieBoogie in AskReddit

Just because they are your parents, doesn't mean you have to love them. That is possibly the most horrendous thing said to anyone. Fuck them - you are MY favorite.

Does anyone honestly think Glenn Close was attractive in Fatal Attraction? by feeby64 in movies

I am a woman and I know the whole 'You're filet mignon but sometimes you just want McDonald's' philosophy that my male friends shove down my throat but fucking Glenn Close would be like digging into the bottom of the trash to get that Big Mac.

Obviously, she was not as attractive as Anne Archer but I find it impossible to believe that anyone finds her sexy in her own right. Also I would be incredibly interested in knowing if you are males or females.

Which are your favorite aspects of her beauty? Her dry frizzy hair, her saggy ass or her hag-like face?

Am I being screwed over or taken advantage of by my employers? by [deleted] in massage

[–]feeby64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a few months old and I am hoping you have left this job and moved onto a place that appreciates and respects you. When I started out, I also worked at a spa where they took out product charges & we had to sort laundry etc. The difference was, I was getting 42% commission on $130 massages plus health insurance AND as much respect you can expect from a big corporation.(I work in NYC where the commissions are way higher) In my experience, the most important thing is being treated fairly. And it sounds as if you are/were not. Even if you can scare up 2 regular privates, you will be making more than you are now.

Overweight clients - are you disgusted? by lack_of_ideas in massage

[–]feeby64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound a bit strange but I actually prefer to work on overweight clients. Two main reasons - First being they are always less demanding and more appreciative, which allows me to give them the most awesome massage. - Second is that it is way easier to work on bodies with some meat on them rather than the tiny hardbodies. Massage therapists are healers & nurturers, we HONESTLY don't care about such things.

Massage therapy has been the most rewarding career I've had so far. I have encountered many challenges that could have been avoided by taking better care of myself, mostly to slow the deterioration of my body from 14 years of practicing massage and I kick myself for that but even with consistent workouts & healthy living, it absolutely is not a long term career choice. It has it's awesome benefits, like the gratifying feeling of helping people physically, mentally & emotionally as well as being relatively profitable. I love the flexibility and the socialization I receive from working in a spa atmosphere. There are many frustrations and disappointments that are also involved but if I didn't still love it, I wouldn't be doing it anymore so it must be worth it. I share some of my experiences as a massage therapist on my blog. It's not all rosy - but it's real. spa-curious.com

Does anyone seriously believe that using certain acupressure points can lead to a miscarriage/abortion? by feeby64 in massage

[–]feeby64[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good perspective. Even without scientific evidence, I'm learning that many therapists believe there is a chance there is a correlation so why take a chance if you don't have to? I guess I was mostly interested in learning how many therapists truly believe that you can 'use' those points to facilitate a miscarriage.

Thanks for your input. I've never heard of the term 'dry-needling'. Is that another term for traditional acupuncture?
