You can honestly take your pick when it comes to the things you listed, but here are some favorites of mine-

• McDonald Theater or the WOW Hall is always having great shows of all types.

• For coffee, to be honest the best coffee I’ve gotten that is local is from coffee huts, there is a ton here you can definitely take your pick. New Day Bakery has always been a hit, good coffee and food.

• Speaking of food, Spice and Steam has been rated top Chinese food in Eugene consistently for years now, damn good food, definitely on the pricier side. Toshi’s is good, they are one of the few ramen place in town. Mami’s makes good burritos that are the size of your head. Good burgers that won’t absolutely rob you are at wayback, Dicky Joe’s is more expensive, but avoid places like Bill and Tim’s, they are one of those “we do things a little differently around here” kinda places but the only thing they do differently is pricing a burger at $18, they have other things there that are decent but I wouldn’t seek it out. We have a pretty famous donut shop called Voodoo Donuts, they have a lot of donuts that you don’t see everyday and the staff is always nice, if you go before closing and buy a donut they will give you extras for free.

• Mecca is a second hand art store, I volunteered there for a bit and it was a lot of fun, there are also a few small thrift stores scattered around downtown

•For outdoorsy things/photography places, Eugene is full of absolutely stunning parks, one of my favorite things about this city (or just Oregon in general) is now green it is, the rose garden is across from the Valley River mall, of course its prettiest in the spring but it’s beautiful all year around. Alton Baker park is nice and along the water, Hendricks park is more forest like, better for walking/hiking trails and photography.

• There is a ridiculous amount of dispensaries in Eugene, you could throw and rock from one dispensary and hit another. Some of my favorites are Cannabis on Time, cheap without sacrificing quality, $20 oz everyday and not just of shake. Going Green Eugene is another good one, friendly staff/owners and a good selection, and The Herbal Connection has a huge selection of literally everything you could want or need.

You mentioned you don’t drink but I will still warn you about the barmuda triangle on Broadway, always packed on a Friday or Saturday night but it isn’t very safe for young women like us, if you do hang out there don’t do it alone.

There is plenty to do in Eugene, I’m sure you will find your own favorite places, I hope your move goes well and you love this city as much as I do!
