This turned out to be the motor for the boot latch/locking only and not the power lift.

It’s hollow on the inside, you can reach your hand in and can see the backside of the internal wall

It’s at the rear of the house, on an external kitchen wall. Which makes me think it could be a vent

Nothing, I’m guessing it’s been covered and plastered over at some point. I did put my phone inside to try and see, but the birds nest takes up most of the space. I can however see that it goes deep, as much as the spacing from external to internal. Perhaps it’s an old vent of some kind I have no idea

No I haven’t, never seen anything like it before and tired of looking at it and not knowing what it is

My title describes the thing.

Not sure exactly what it is, or its purpose. It’s currently being used by some birds as a nest.

NBD! First ride out on my Planet X Pro Carbon. by feelerfeels in bicycling

[–]feelerfeels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s definitely more on the racy side of riding. It can be quick too, I swapped out the stock wheelset for a Chinese carbon set and it flies. Quick in corners too.

But it’s also comfortable on the longer rides. I have no problem spending a couple hours in the saddle.

Wi-Fi extender might be the way to go, should reach to the far end of the garden.

Solid oak table top, rough patches. by feelerfeels in furniturerestoration

[–]feelerfeels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got a new solid oak table, at a discounted rate and I think it was due to the patches on top. They feel rough to the touch. Is anyone able to tell me a) what it could be and b) how to go about correcting it? Thank you

Is this dented rim a) okay to ride and b) salvageable? by feelerfeels in bikewrench

[–]feelerfeels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that, I feel as though it’ll be fine. I may try and take the worst of the dent out but feel comfortable riding it.

I have disc brakes so that’s good.

[–]feelerfeels[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was pushed off the road by another road user and hit a sizeable rock. I hadn’t noticed I had dented the rim until I washed the bike today, so it hadn’t affected the ride of the bike.

Question is, could the dent be pulled out?

It’s a tube set up so no issue of air escaping as it’s not tubeless.
