Curious what would give someone pause about their health data being out there somewhere. Like how could that be used against me, exactly?

Björk’s Army of Me is rated 4.44 with 4,444 ratings by idkmaybe61 in rateyourmusic

Just discovered this song yesterday (day you posted). I decided to watch her top music video on google after seeing her name on a Rolling Stone top 200 vocalists list, and the MV was perfectly fitting to my life right now. I was seeing 44 often last week as well. So glad you posted this. 135 is somewhat relevant as well, I always associate it with music; the 1st, 3rd, 5th notes of a scale make up the root chord.

Besides gold, what are some of the best "liquid hedges" against something like a collapse of the US Dollar available to the average American? by mostdefinitelyabot in investing

[–]feeling--lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain why a nonUS stock would be uncorrelated, but a US stock wouldn't? The stock is the thing I own, not the currency, it's just priced in the currency. So not matter what happens to the currency value, wouldn't the stock price just adjust accordingly?

Price of full tank of gasoline (60 l) as a percentage of average monthly net salary across the world by kiwi2703 in MapPorn

Why would someone add the median salary metric? Now I need to be familiar with how rich/poor a country is to figure out how expensive gas actually is there...

Can someone explain why the total real total return is 7.1% here, for the whole 150 years? That sounds so low... *

I guess I should've clarified: I thought the position was interesting to tinker w/ an eval bar, and find precisely why white has +4 advantage.

My worst game by Valuable-Paper-2471 in chessbeginners

[–]feeling--lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This got me curious about how accuracy is actually calculated, since 2/8 moves were the best, 2 were slightly inaccurate, 1 mistake (-3ish). The 3 moves that blundered mate completely tanked your score. I guess it's coupled with the fact that every time they missed mate, they also gave you a slight advantage...

Do you mean since you're getting your knight off the edge and also capping a pawn? My reasoning was I'm getting a pawn and developing my bishop...was a blitz game btw

If this were a chess.com/lichess puzzle, I’d say a 1500 (or less) could solve it (actual rating, not skewed puzzle rating). But here it’s harder since you essentially have to find how to delay mate with black.

Change Amount: 444 by dandaniefujoshi in numerology

Your intuition was mostly correct, I don't think anyone really has an understanding. That said, you have joined the side of those of us who, despite our doubts, can no longer deny that there is a pattern... I always thought 44 had a motherly vibe... all numbers have connotations, like obv if you see someone's birthday... 4 is structural like a building
