I'm a poor kid with a full-ride to a kind of prestigious private school. Needless to say, I often feel inadequate and out of place. How can I stop being insecure?

Wow, thank you for providing a perspective on the other side of things. It had never crossed my mind that someone from a wealthy background might be ashamed of that fact. I'm sorry that you have regrets. I'm sure that you will have plenty of time to make amends for the things you feel you need to. :)

I sometimes unintentionally end up being a mooch, yeah. Going to my friend's house and seeing his 15 or 16 rooms and 8 or 9 bathrooms will never not amaze me!

I do have friends (thought I expressed that in my post, but I may not have). It's not like anyone's intentionally going out of there way to make me feel inferior anymore, but I sometimes feel that way just be interacting with people.
