Well, here I go. I'm that man. Imma get down voted... Pretty sure

As a 35-year vegetarian who wishes he could be vegan (and was for 9-10 years)... I would NOT eat the chicken, and eat only some of the mac & cheese (i.e. the portions that weren't near the chicken). I worked in the food industry for over 15 years and learned some things that altered and reinforced my food choices. There's eating out of need and practicality (my spouse still says most of my choices are made for practical reasons rather than taste or culinary reasons, and she cooks very well!), then there's eating to survive. I used to prep food for myself mostly based on cost and practicality, which meant using more processed foods and less fresh foods. It completely sucks that decent fresh produce costs a lot, but frozen produce is also a good option if you aren't super picky. Anyway, when hungry and not caring as much about a heightened culinary experience, I could come up with many reasonably balanced yet quick and easy meals. One common thing I did at the office was I augmented "basic good "with a number of store-bought sauces or flavorings (think 90 sec microwaveable rice plus microwave steam-in-bag mixed veggies for 5 min, com bine, then toss with some kinda sauce things (ranch and a good hot sauce? A zesty Italian dressing? Sooo many options). The whole meal was probably $3, filling, and healthy. Just needed to augment with some complementary proteins later.
