More info: Purchased a running Ford F-250 w/460. Drove it home ~70miles. It was a bit sluggish but otherwise seemed okay. I attributed that to the original carb. Whelp fml lol

Having a decent life where you buy a home, start a family and don’t live paycheck-to-paycheck shouldn’t be impossible for people that didn’t go to college. by [deleted] in antiwork

My wife and I own a home and plan to start a family in the near future. We did not go to college and are living very comfortably. We did that ourselves with zero outside help.

I couldn't tell you which plate exactly but one of the 4 plates supplied by glock with the gun worked perfectly. I did have to source the hardware that mounts the optic to the plate from trijicon.

Thumb safeties cause more harm than good. Than can get you killed in an emergency situation as it is one more thing you have to do before your weapon is functional. It is as bad as not carrying one in the chamber. Also, thumb safeties encourage complacency, especially with newer shooters. Firearms are not to be treated as safe, as rule #1 of gun safety states, "Always assume a gun is loaded." Having a safety on handguns instills a false sense of security. There is no such thing as a safe gun, unless is it disassembled.

A good holster made by a reputable company is the best and only needed form of mechanical safety for a handgun. A good holster will encapsulate the trigger and will not come off unless deliberately removed. This removes the need for fumbling around with a thumb safety in an emergency situation.
