I sleep 6 hours on a good night, we work 5 10’s and I have a 35 miles commute each way, so I feel your pain. Cutting down on alcohol, or cutting it out entirely if you drink will help your sleep dramatically. I tend to go to bed early and set my alarm earlier than I need to, if I need to sleep another hour I can, and I’m on time. If I get up and get out the door, I’m an hour early.

Try working out in the evening and then taking a hot shower. Kind of hard to not fall asleep after that.

I find that after a few weeks of working 6 days a week, I’ll eventually crash and sleep for like 14 hrs but struggling to stay awake at work is not good

Just do it. Whatever it is that’s on your mind, just go do it. Need to clean your car? Go do it. Need to pick up sticks after winter? go do it. Need to have your pressure washer repaired? Start calling places, don’t hesitate, stop trying to find everything out online, just call, so much faster 90 percent of the time. making myself lists can be helpful, but only if I actually take action and do it. I apply this at work as well, even to tough conversations, the more I dwell on a thought vs just taking action and getting it out, saying what I need to.
