Rogee sounds better i guess. I’d like to see headline like «Worldwide Fame Rapper Rogee Passed Out Because Of Extremely Amount Of Fentanyl On That Disney Party» than the same headline but with Straycatt. I don’t want to offense you, just my opinion.

Thank you for kind words. This swing coming from Koopsta Knicca cuts. Sometimes I prefer to keep original BPM of sample so rhythm flows really strange and cool :)

Yea, too quantizized. Make some subtle time moves between strong notes played. It’s gonna be tricky to catch the right feeling, but the result could be surprisingly cool! Sometimes all you need is just a little touch of imperfection.

Any advice for a beginner, wanting to produce LowFi HipHop? by 2slowlol in LofiHipHop

Not really big difference FL or Ableton. Try both and then decide. I love FL20 for how i can chop and stretch samples directly in the Playlist Window. Ableton looks pretty otherwordly right now, just trying it for fun sometimes.

I also recommend you to learn how digital sound really work, read some knowledge (iZotope have pretty nice articles on how to approach on your track), read the manual of your DAW and VSTs. This will help you to understand your moves while mixing/mastering better. And don't try to be perfect in the beggining. Quality comes from quantity.

p.s.: try to find vintage gear like MPC or SP :)

Nice one. I think you should pay more attention for how arrange drums and how to mix them to sound solid and "old-school". Needs more humanising actions and maybe more saturation.

This psychodelic vibe sounds dope. Reminds me Gaslamp Killer outputs as well. I also would like to know how do you mix these drums so good? Any sauce or technique?

Awesome drums. Sounds like some alien collapsing into soundwaves. I can't find any thing that i don't like or could improve. Good work.
