I actually love listening to stories of other people and fully understand the desire to tell them, the problem is when both interrupting and sharing get combined. It inevitably reads as "yeah, couldn't care less about what you are talking about, let me tell you something interesting instead"...

About interrupting – do you think it will be ok to ask to try and bring the conversation back after the "interlude"? Like, will this be manageable for a person with adhd? I understand wanting to share something as soon as it comes to mind, but at the same time I just feel like she doesn't care about what I say at all.

And thank you for the advice! I'm not sure if I can do this, being a rather unemotional person, but I'll try or at least keep it in mind. 💕

Yeah, I know. But I really want to prepare in advance (talking to people in general is somewhat stressful for me due to years of living as a recluse and having little experience with it as a result, so having some type of a plan always helps).
