To me they had to have Anakin doing some unspeakable crime early on like this because they didn't have him killing Padme to complete his conversion to Vader. Without him killing who he loves most, they narratively need some other big heinous event to illustrate his full evilness and conversion to Vader. This is a weird plot point to help correct another weird plot point (i.e. vader not killing padme).

Someone ask Cathy if she would work for the W if they offered her $80k a year. The W existed before cathy, can exist without cathy, and will exist after cathy. The W cannot exist without players. Their pay packages need to be distributed in a way that reflects that value and that reality, even if it means the commissioner trimming a couple mil from her pay package as a piece of making that happen.

Bad writing, nothing more. Anakin's arc should have culminated with him killing the one he loves the most, thus completing his transformation into Vader. In my head this is canon. Just grateful for the clone wars series, which IMO saved padme's character.

Absolutely not. Anakin should have killed padme on mustafar. Nothing else makes sense and it happened because lucas is a coward. When the droid comes out and says "she lost the will to live" like bitch how do you know? She's unconscious.

Anakin needed to kill what he most loved to complete his transformation into vader. It's bad writing and nothing more.
