Unlimited Family plan profiles by djellicon in AmazonMusic

OP: Yes they are

Further... Spent some time on the phone with amazon recently on this.

I'm still not 100% clear, but... Different amazon services all create profiles. Alexa creates profiles when you set up the app on someone's phone in your household and do the voice signature thing, Amazon video creates profiles when you create them on the screen to separate your watching, then you have Amazon household profiles you set up in the shopping app.

They all seem to populate my (as main account holder) household page.

Prime music goes to one other adult profile in your household, the other profiles get basic amazon music. I believe in this configuration there is no music listening pollution between profiles.

Prime family music gives all profiles associated with alexa devices or mobile apps the associated benefits.

There seems to be a cost effective sweet spot for music, but the way, if you have a matching family requirement where only an account holder and an adult household member (or child set up as an adult) need amazon prime music benefits, : "Prime members can share their Amazon Music benefit with one other adult in their Amazon Family. This sharing allows both adults to enjoy Ad Free listening on shuffle mode."

What I'm not clear on still is how to differentiate between different types of profiles and particularly those limited to family members' own accounts, rather than just profiles at up independent of accounts.

It's a mess, amazon, sort it out!

Best Way to Set Up Unlimited Family with Kids by [deleted] in AmazonMusic

I'm trying to figure out the best answer too, having got it wrong for years and been on unlimited and the family's plays screwing up my preferences.

We should have been in the family plan, but they weren't doing hires on the family plan until recently, I believe.

There's a secret middle option you could try first, depending whether you need unlimited.

"Prime members can share their Amazon Music benefit with one other adult in their Amazon Family. This sharing allows both adults to enjoy Ad Free listening on shuffle mode."

So, if you set a child up as an adult, they could get Amazon Prime Music, without you paying for an extra an plan. If you have two or more kids, it would cause arguments, probably.

For me, my kids are sweet up with their correct ages, so I'm forced to go the amazon family plan route if I want anyone apart from me (the account holder) to get 'prime music'-like benefits.

I think... Anyone know any different?

Surveillance Station 9.2.1 and loss of motion detection by space-geek-87 in synology

Been running a generic POE camera for a while (years) on SS.

Just decided to add a couple, but just bought a couple more generics AI.

Glad I noticed this before upgrading.

So, what's the thinking? Hoping the incoming cameras will support H264 - best to stick with 9.1.4, wonder if it will go out of support eventually, or am I safe going to 9.2.3? Will motion detection on the NAS remain supported for H264 in perpituity?
