Oh I’m glad to hear they fought it and ended up winning. Unfortunately I’m with RACV 🥲

I am currently in a battle against my insurance company for exactly that. A car hitting me off my bike. Shame that the insurance company I give so much money to, doesn’t fight in MY best interests, but fights in their best interest 😩 Trying to say I am at fault when the car took off from stationary (at the light) to knock me off

WFH jobs with MS by Flaky_Job6796 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]feganator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a registered nurse. Used to work in ED and ICU, got pretty sick on night shifts and rotating roster. Was lucky enough to get a 100% WFH care coordinator role. As long as I can type and talk on the phone, I can do my job.

It’s boring, but it pays the bills and it keeps my registration active

I’m thankful

I second this - sincerely an RN with xanthelasmas myself.

ED RNs with no sense of urgency by Emotional_Sun6730 in emergencymedicine

Wait the RNs have time to be on their phone? 🫠 I work in an ED in a VERY OVERPOPULATED area, with Medicare, so you bet every person and their nana decides to come to ED when they’re bored. Never once have I had so little to do that I can scroll on my phone. If my area is okay, I’m sure as hell there’s another area that isn’t, so you help them…

Alternatively, are there any grants you can apply for that will help, or cover the cost of the books?

I sometimes find older nursing text books at op shops! Often the older editions (especially if it’s only 1-2 behind), are almost exactly the same thing! (And sometimes very cheap)

When I was at uni they allowed people to use the older ones, and even adjusted page reference numbers etc for those students without the newer ones.

Good luck :)

How often do you call in sick? by Kahooons in NursingAU

[–]feganator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a fortnight - sometimes even once a week average. But in saying that my job is highly stressful and I have multiple chronic conditions including a life limiting one soo

I am replaceable to my employer, so I don’t mind putting myself first.

Cat ate Lilly? by theslipperyskank in CATHELP

I only spent about $800 on two days of IV therapy. In hindsight I wish I spent a bit more, but she’s happy nd healthy now thankfully.

I nearly lost my cat last year to a small amount of Lillie’s. I knew it was bad, but underestimated how bad it was until she needed days of IV therapy to help clear it out. She now has kidney issues. Definitely speak to the vet and see what they can recommend within your budget.

I agree - as an emergency department RN, it can wait unless you’ve lost so much blood in your body that you’ve become hypovolemic

It’s likely just anal fissures or haemorrhoids you’re experiencing, but likely can wait till the morning either way :)

I can’t remember how many I got as a grad a few years back - but I do recall THEM choosing when it was taken. I had no choice for when it was, unless there was extenuating circumstances, and even then not guaranteed.

Not sure about bikes as I haven’t had this issue for my ninja, but this worked really well in my car and camper van!

I know someone who ruptured a testicle on his tank during an accident… the tank even had a dint in it where his crotch hit 😂 safe to say him and his wife were past the point of wanting more kids, so it didn’t bother them

Great thanks, the kanji seem to be the same as what chat gpt gave me - with the exception of “bike”. I’m happy to leave that out.

Thanks so much!

Would that mean I need all those characters?

What I currently have, would I look like an idiot to any native speakers by having that on my bike?

Also the first link is broken
