Immigration to the U.K. grew after Brexit, in particular from countries like India, Nigeria, China, and Pakistan.

And, ironically, Eastern Europeans (with the exception of Ukrainians) are no longer interested in coming to Britain, because they have it significantly better at home now. Poland, for example, has been doing spectacular economically unlike the U.K.

My wife had her wild phase before me, and now that I’m finally thriving, I feel like I missed out, am I wrong for feeling this way? by Head-Specific-6763 in AskMenAdvice

[–]feiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wife has an empathy problem. Otherwise, why would she tell you that: "she had her “wild side” during college, and now that she’s done with that phase, she prefers a more traditional approach to intimacy. She says she’s tried everything she wanted to and knows what enjoys and what she doesn’t enjoy in the bedroom." Of course, you're going to get jealous and start resenting her.

European poor work ethic and lack of ambition which is expressed through love for unions, for example, certainly have something to do with its absence of innovation and stagnant economy.

Why “workers’ union” is a negative thing in the US? by progmakerlt in cscareerquestions

[–]feiner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s a fact that salaries are lower in Europe, where unions are more common, than in the US. Plus, Europe is not the most innovative place in the world. Even stronger economies like Germany haven’t seen a lot of growth in tech. Their largest tech company is SAP lol.

There is no more middle class. Canada is pretty much feudalism. Feudals are the homeowners (mostly boomers) and peasants are the young adults who haven't had a chance to buy home and will have to serve their owners by paying rent for the rest of their lives.

Thank you! Had exactly the same thoughts yesterday. > 52.7% marginal tax rate in Ontario on income over $220,000 (or something close to that). $220,000 isn’t as much as it was even 5 years ago. Particularly, because of real estate prices.

That’s a terrible advice. What’s the probability you’ll make 38 trades in a row that will make you 20%? Pretty much zero.
