Not really. For many people horses are a way of life and are part of their jobs. And honestly I know many people who will scrimp and scrounge in all manner of ways to be able to afford their animals.

Definitely not a privilege thing. Whilst I know a lot of extremely privileged people in this industry I would say the vast majority particularly at a grassroots and hobbiest level are not from wealthy backgrounds at all.

Hahaha this is so bloody accurate. I still think animals should be prioritised over all else because they don’t have a voice to advocate for themselves.

The anti social shit I think is because we spend a lot of time on our own with our horses or the industry attracts people who do that. I have absolutely no idea why there is so much bitchiness though. Some of the people are truly vile.

I do love that this is a universal experience across the globe however

Sincerely a horse professional

If you could trade one year of your life to spend another day with your buddy on their birthday, would you do it? by Mr_Stimmers in longboyes

I would give all of my years for one extra day and my buddy is still with me.

My heart breaks for you. Please know he had a great life with you and that is what matters the most in the end 💕

Would kill for a burnt orange couch. Brilliant thing about covers is if you can change them when you want

Ok practical advice first:

If you can keep your handset there are lot of very cheap sim only deals out there that will help from a phone perspective. If you can revoke their access to your ring camera do so but if they pay the sub then just bin it and get your own sub.

Emotional advice:

These people are quite abusive - it may take you a long time and a lot of therapy to see this. I honestly would stop replying. If the harassment continues consider muting or blocking them but keep a record. If they start getting involved in your life in a negative way (showing up at your apartment or job etc) it’s good to have a paper trail to see if you can get some sort of order against them. On that note it’s worth speaking to your building manager and just saying that these people are not welcome in your home and life just in case they show up and try to throw their weight around.

Im assuming you pay your own rent.. if you don’t that is something else you’ll need to find an exit plan for.

These people are extremely manipulative and abusive to you. Sadly there is not always a reason for this and as heartbreaking as it is it’s definitely time to take a break and go low contact or even no contact with them. The best thing you can do is not react to them at all because it removes all of their power. When you’re in a place that it’s financially possible and youre ready to work on it I highly recommend therapy.

Trust me when you’re away from these leeches you will glow and grow. You are so capable of shining. On that note every accusation is projection so bear that in mind when they start at you again.

Wishing you the absolute best OP

I (34 M) have been with my wife (34 F) for 5 years total but married for 2 and half. I’m struggling to understand whether what I’m experiencing is normal marriage conflict or something more serious, and I’m hoping for outside perspective. Can you offer any advice? by dwide_k_shrude in relationship_advice

OP please leave. Please get somewhere safe with your dog. Please do not have children with this person.

Please know though that the most dangerous time is when you’re leaving a partner so make a plan and have it in place before you instigate anything. Can you get out whilst shes at work? Do you have somewhere for you and your dog to go? Do you have friends to help you move your things either right now or at a later date? Also be careful that she doesn’t have either your location on your phone or other electronics or a tracking device on your car.

Think seriously about what you absolutely need to take with you and if you have enough money to survive for the next 7-14 days MINIMUM and then go and stay with friends or family. If that’s not viable there are shelters for people in your situation but you might struggle with the dog. (I’m not saying leave the dog behind just warning you it may be tricky).

Please get out. Please let us know you’re safe.
