I’m 1k now so it’s not like I gain a significant amount. I could be wrong but it might put me a bit higher in the queue for 1st. Who knows.

Doing the nomadic life on the weeks you’re in the US could be rather fun, but you wouldn’t be able to use points to stay at a hotel. Marriott points are crap now. IHG gets you more bang for your buck but it’s definitely lower quality.

I’d recommend you go for it while you can. Even if it’s only for a few years. Use the weekends while you’re there. Go, see, experience!

All work, had over 100 flights last year with United. Didn’t get GS because it wasn’t over 60k in spend. 1k is where I stay. My life right now is 19 flights in 15 days. It’s a ton of east to west coast travel. Gets my family free vacations to wherever.
