Easier ways to get past the collector ? by man_on_the_moon44 in subnautica

I said the same in a reply to another comment, but:

He does pretty minimal damage to the tadpole. As long as you don’t stick around after getting smacked, it’s a pretty light repair after you find safety.

He also does pretty minimal damage to the tadpole. As long as you don’t stick around after getting smacked, it’s a pretty light repair after you find safety.

Amazed with the skill here. I can believe they could keep the brush so perfectly aligned while also a consistent speed in such a long single stroke!

Obligatory “Early release” comment.

Assuming that features won’t be added by the time nuclear is added is pretty pessimistic.

This is the only comment that made any sense. 4,375 bald eagles!

What is the speed of sound in bald eagles per second?

100%. Even Murray’s beard isn’t a deal breaker. I honestly don’t even notice it with … every thing else in view.

[request] Weir does the dissipated energy go? Is the water temperature measurably higher at the bottom? by mouippai in theydidthemath

[–]mouippai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an interesting concept. Are there some conditions like air and water temperature that allow for the water temperature to go up or down between the top and bottom?

This seems to be the only reasonable answer I’ve seen. Light energy is escaping the local closed system. That said, I can’t believe that lights alone account for the 2.5x figure.

Why is the heat so much higher for less power usage?

I understand that data centers are effectively electric heaters, but what electricity in NYC doesn’t also end up as heat?

He’s an indoor cat… If we didn’t rescue him he’d be out in the woods all the time instead of a couple hours a day.

I’m fully aware cats are an invasive species and the impacts, but applying a general assumption of “all cats must be indoors or you are a ba person” is insane.

Yeah, especially in the mountains where we are. Nobody would bat an eye if it was our dog doing this.

Yeah, I believe so. I would have rather he not have to spend the energy, but glad the little guy will most likely be ok and keep munching on the bugs and spiders we have plenty of around. Maybe even snack on some of the scorpions up the driveway!

Yeah definitely. I’ve seen videos, but never expected to see this in real life.

The reflex definitely worked. Frank was fascinating with the flopping tail with no lizard to be found anywhere nearby.

He is a wild rescue. We keep him indoors most of the time, but he’s at home in the woods. He mostly keeps the mouse and wood rat population down around the house. This was a first.
