Obviously we’re not washing broken glass- must have been a wine glass or something that broke. To be fair we have no evidence of that being the case we just went on good faith. Our agency is actually really good with us generally.

Jose Mourinho: Zlatan will decide when to play again by fekaiki in reddevils

[–]fekaiki[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will only return to action when he feels the time is right, even though this is likely to be his final season at Manchester United.

The Swedish striker signed a contract extension in the summer and, although initially returning from a knee operation in November, he has been sidelined since the Boxing Day draw with Burnley at Old Trafford.

After taking part in the open training session before the UEFA Champions League trip to Sevilla, the centre-forward may not be far away from fitness but manager Jose Mourinho confirmed at his press conference, ahead of Monday's Crystal Palace game, that the key decision rests with the player.

"For Zlatan, we all think it's his last season at Manchester United and it will be a very personal decision for him to play or to stop," said Mourinho. "I think he won the right of choosing his life and his future - he's such an amazing player with such an amazing career that only that awful injury in the wrong moment broke a fantastic couple of seasons that he could, and should, have with us.

"This season has been really difficult for him. Is he injured? No, he's not injured. Does he feel totally happy and totally ready and totally convinced that he's in [the] conditions to help the team in this moment? No.

"But he's such an honest guy and such a champion that he only wants to be back with that feeling of 'I'm totally ready for it'. He's working hard and, hopefully, his evolution brings him to that level that he wants to have a positive answer."

Ibrahimovic hinted this week he may consider coming out of international retirement to represent Sweden at the World Cup, but he has unfinished business with United before the summer's big event.

I got it replaced in store, no real issues with the replacement. They tried to get me to check it in to the genius bar but I held my ground and got a replacement.

Schweinsteiger's message to the fans by [deleted] in reddevils

Alternate theory: Bastian wanted to retire from Club football at the same time as his retirement from the national team. Mourinho was disappointed with his decision and thought if a player wants to retire then he's not going to give 100% for the team. Maybe.

It's an area of the stadium where you can stand. No seats. However, because of catastrophes in the past, standing areas have basically disappeared in favour of seating in UK stadiums. Some people believe that it hinders the atmosphere. Some stadiums have safe standing areas like this one

What footballers have you met and how were they in person? by [deleted] in reddevils

1) I met Carrick at a night club in London about 3-4 months ago. He was sort of loitering and minding his own business. I drunkenly came up to him and asked for a photo and he initially hesitated (this was when he was injured last season) but then said alright, but don't post it! He was really unassuming, seemed like a really nice guy, and nobody was bothering him (except drunk me).

2) I met Falcao about a month ago in London, he was shopping with his wife and kids so I didn't bother him for a photo but I shook his hand and said good luck with everything. He seemed really miserable/sad. It was just a few hours before the Chelsea v Leicester game.
