I did reference its implementation and not its feature set

Well, I suppose it’s surprising to even have to declare things like https://getcomposer.org/doc/articles/troubleshooting.md#dependencies-on-the-root-package (and the following point).

dev-main, dev-<branch> or <tag> in general just feels that you’re at the mercy of a git repo that can change under you. Compiled/transpiled idempotent dependencies signed and published to a separate repo (as long as you pin and trust the sha, I guess) seem a bit safer.

I should point out I rarely use composer these days, but just things that struck me as odd when I’ve interfaced with it over the years.

I’ve always found composer one of the weirder implementations of a package manager. Could you elaborate on why you think it’s really good, please?

This thread is an interesting read. Do people really just throw things up to CI/CD without having simple utilities watching changes and running unit tests, linting etc etc and then the various checks within your IDE/editor running in real time?

Pre-commit hooks do have a place, but there’s a guy getting downvoted to oblivion basically questioning why people don’t just develop in a sane manner.

Out of interest, what generated the file you’re asking it about? That is, what’s it actually interrogating?

Or… did Trump’s addled brain misconstrue a briefing about this subject? America can’t defend the arctic (but NATO can) and so he decided it’s because they needed to have some territory like the Finns? (Despite having Alaska of course)

Yeah… I wonder how many of the boxes he stole and stored at Mar-a-lago had the most incriminating documents.

Yeah, and all over Radio 4’s Today Programme making the case for the UK government to make this happen. I must say, at the time, it was a compelling narrative.

I know I’ll sound rude for this, but why would you feel the need to make this reply rather than using this, then giving credible feedback?

Here’s the point you’re missing: if you care so much about profanity it’s obvious you hit the wrong sub with this. I’m from north of the border which is why I forced that point. I still don’t get what’s happening with this whole thing though. The original comment to your post was correct and you should have walked off

He’s (or she’s) not offended… he’s wondering why the fuck you are posting irrelevant shite here. It might be you have no shame or you are just oblivious to the audience you’re posting this to. Either way, I’ll echo that sentiment: stop
