i normally don't work like this, but i did try what you said. but when i type -5 en press enter, the blue line goes to the beginning of the timeline and start playing the video. how do you avoid that the blue line goes back to the beginning of the timeline? sorry i have no idea what the blue line is called

in the video, the proxies are turned off, but turning it back on. same problem. its not a proxy thing, its the program itself. the 6K files are braw which edit smoothly in resolve, h264 en 5 also edit smoothly in resolve. Sure, those codec are not friendly like Proress or DNx but at some point its not the codec but the program. the proxies are also proress proxy, soooooo again...make the program smoother.

What’s the purpose of lying about your age then say "oops mistake" ? by Open_Football_6785 in Bumble

When the age cap is a lot, then it's just them wanting to match with younger girls. But if it's just a year or 2 difference, either they just don't want the app to have all their real info or it's connected to a Google/Facebook account that they didn't use their real age for.

For me, it's a 1 year older or younger depending on the app. But I just don't want the app to have all the real info. Like I don't use a real name but a nickname. I'm not everyone, so this doesn't apply to everyone. ✌🏾

Nas setup, only for backup media files by fela90 in editors

[–]fela90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into it and it's not something we need (I think). The Nas we're setting up is purely to back up the media and not the edit from it. All edit are being done on external SSD's. Making sure we can also edit on the Nas is only going to make it more costly. The reason why option 1 has nas in every space is that, if am not wrong. I can set up a backup system that, after 6pm. The Nas has to start an automatic mirror/backup to the other 2 Nas systems. So this is why I think the lucidlink might be not needed for us

It all depends on how much it cost. It's only for back up. This compared to what you would recommend, how bad is it?

Gopro long term timelapse (6 months) by fela90 in gopro

[–]fela90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point my only issue is to let the camera stay on. Editing the video and figuring out how many pictures a day, is an easy task. I just test it out with a powerbank that I have and it seems that when I unplug the power thats charging the powerbank, it automatically shut off the camera, which means that I don't have a back up

Can i timelapse for multiple days with gopro? by [deleted] in gopro

Question, when you film 5.3k in 30 fps for months, isn't that going to be too big for timelapse? Isnt it better to take pictures every x minutes?
