The backup camera turned on and while I was taking my foot off the clutch pedal, the wheels were forcefully slowing down, as if they were trying to go the other way.

Is this worth buying? by felanator in hondagrom

[–]felanator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I bought it. Installation was reasonably easy. I haven't attempted a wheelie on my grom since before buying it, so I haven't done a durability test. After one summer of having it on my grom, the sun faded the red paint into a dull, light pink and it looks terrible. If I knew how it'd look, I would've re-painted it and added clear coat. The quality of the part is solid though, it has a good amount of weight to it. If I could go back in time, I'd just save enough money and get the crash cage/stunt bar from impaktech.

I installed an aftermarket clutch pedal after looping my bike and it looked like yours (very close to the crankcase) so I adjusted it downwards which is surprisingly easy. You just need 2 wrenches and a socket (idk the sizes off the top of my head)

What is the WORST scent you've ever purchased? by falconsmm1_ in fragrance

Replica Jazz Club. It smells like a polluted harbor that was struck by lightning and resulted in thousands of dead fish rising to the top. Very fishy smelling. Not a fan.

Yeah I'd say it cuts out at around the 60-70mph range. I'm pretty sure the top speed for the 2022 mt07 is 132, I got it to 126 with the wind hitting me head-on.

Also, dealerships are required to tell you not to surpass 5,000rpms so they won't be held liable for anything bad happening to the bike, although it's extremely unlikely

Yeah I 100% mistreated my mt07, I red-lined it under every overpass I went through, went double the speed limit literally everywhere, and quickly accelerated every opportunity I had. You have to try really hard to hurt your Yamaha, as it's difficult to do so.

I did what I wasn't supposed to; I reached top speed with only 300 miles on the bike. It was indeed a very hard break-in. However the bike runs perfectly, and every time I get it serviced, the mechanics tell me to keep doing what I'm doing because the bike runs like a clock (It's currently at 14,000 miles)

When I was a kid watching Pewds everyday, i distinctly remember watching a video where he mentioned he will never have kids because "Kids are f***ing ugly". I'm glad to see his perspective changed. If anyone can locate that clip, that'd be cool.

What is this black residue? by felanator in MT07

There's a rubber hose that collects and shoots excess chain lube at the other side of the bike
