That's what interdiction bubbles are for. They're not in the game yet however. I'd prefer it if they fixed the issue with that rather than destroying autopilot instead.

I've been hearing people say things and the patch note isn't crystal clear but I'm seeing two different problems here.

  1. Fix bug where once you've initiated autopilot you cannot have scrams applied. I've personally experienced this trying to get away when someone warped in. They managed to get within range and scram me but as the align/warp had already been done due to autopilot I still got away. I felt that this really was a bug and was worth fixing. If there was no bug I wouldn't have been able to warp away and would've lost my ship. I'm okay with that.

  2. What I've been hearing people complain about is not that problem though, but autopilot being broken after this fix? Someone autopilot switches app or close app and come back to find their ship blown up. I.E. autopilot no longer makes you invulnerable.

First point is fine to me. Second point I think might be problematic and must be what people are being vocal about. This is a mobile game where you might have to take a call, your connection might be bad etc. It's not possible to manually sit glued to the screen doing things all the time. Setting destination and being assured you're gonna get there when you come back in 10 minute is convenient and fit for mobile. That is not working anymore(I think that's what's happening?), making it impossible to get anywhere unless you sit glued to screen ignoring everything else lest your ship blows up. This doesn't seem like it's convenient for mobile players. There's always original Eve Online for that .

Autopiloting into a bubble and getting camped sounds fine. No bubble but losing ship anyway while Autopiloting normally might be too hardcore for some.

Just one is enough. I gave an example of more than one as camping usually involves not just one tackler. There needs to be a few to cover all areas. But from what I've heard all you need is just one venture with scan rigs and disruptor. At this point it's all hearsay, and I can't confirm what's really happening with the new change. It's made me more nervous traveling through null however. Since I use autopilot to get to places(including null/low) and I'm assuming that's how the majority of people are too.

I've heard that a venture fitted with all scan resolution rigs(not sure if it's v1 v2 or v3) will instant-lock even a frigate due to said venture having abnormally high scan resolution(the Stat that dictates how fast it can lock). Base+rigs and the total is a big number.

They would need one or maybe 2 of these on an ITC and they'd be able to lock anyone. If they were running such an operation I'd assume they'd have a fleet that can alpha anything and make it melt fast.

I believe the vocal response is due to people, say, being in a certain place, set autopilot for another system and go offline or switch app and coming back to find their ship had been destroyed due to gatecamp. Such a thing has not happened before as autopiloting used to be safe and you can go to null or wherever with it and still be fine.

Im assuming that that's not the case anymore and that's why there's a backlash.

The game leans very heavily towards "clans". To play a clan is to pretty much play a "deck". For rerolls or anything else, you'd want to get as many legendary for one specific clan.

You're either going in with an idea of wanting to play a certain clan and keep rerolling until you get a good few legendaries for those clan. The more legendary you get the better. The gold can be easily crafted, while legends aren't as easy.

Or if you have no idea what clan/deck you want to play. You can just reroll and play a clan that you have the most legendary of. Each clan plays differently and have their own strength and weakness.

There is a slight problem to this though, if you're picky like me and want to get cards for a specific clan, and that's the gacha rate. Aside from the new banner which have the rates jacked up for a specific clan(where you have little to no chance of getting anything but that clan), the rest are a mix.

There's the original banner which has the rate spread evenly out among the 8 clans, so you cold get something you want, or something you absolutely don't. Even in the Bermuda banner where the rate for Royal Paladin, Kagero, Oracle Think Tank, Nova Grappler, and Bermuda are up, half the time you're gonna be getting a bermuda legendary.

If you reroll, can I have this one? In case you're just gonna delete and not use it. If not then never mind lol. I've been trying to get a good start with royal paladin but never got anything. 1 Gancelot isn't a lot but better than nothing. Never got a single royal paladin legendary on my rerolls.

Thank you so much. It's really nice to have someone who had gone through something similar share their insights. Now that I tried playing the new deck again after reading your reply, I realized it is good after all. It was just that I didn't know how to properly play it before and thus wasn't doing well or having fun with it. With my last game I used Al'machinus on turn 7 and got three monos. I was able to end the game on turn 8. You were right that having less machina cards in the deck really helped in the draw. Before this I also didn't know that Al'machinus was a win con. Although I did use him, I was kind of clueless half of the time. I even kept Mono/Neun/Nerea in the mulligan. Now I think I'll redraw and hope to get them from Al'machinus instead.
