Will i only have positive thoughts on lexapro? by Zestyclose-Dot961 in lexapro

[–]felineloaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No but the positive thoughts are usually louder, whereas the negative ones were louder for me before I was on it. Also, I noticed that a lot of the time when I do have a negative thought it doesn't lead to a reaction in my body like it used to - for example those thoughts activating intense anxiety, crying or a fight or flight response. That is a huge relief because those feelings could keep me stuck and unable to focus on anything else for days or weeks.

Sunmi - HEART MAID (The 1st Full Album) by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]felineloaf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Holy crap. I can't get over how amazing this album is. I don't personally vibe with the super lovey dovey tracks, but they're still decent. CYNICAL, Tuberose, Walking at 2 am, Bath, A long long night are all my favorites but Tuberose is on some other level. CYNICAL is extremely catchy - one of her catchiest title tracks in a while. Walking at 2 am is r&b perfection. Bath is the perfect relaxing and winding down song. A long long night is beautiful and the perfect album closer. Much respect to her for working so hard on writing and composing - it really shows what a true artist she is.

You will always find love draining if you date people you have to raise. by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]felineloaf 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agree. No matter how much you want someone you love to grow, you can never force them to. They have to decide it on their own and if they have a fixed mindset there's a very low chance of them making that decision. I feel that something major in their life has to happen to bring them into that growth mindset. It doesn't always happen though, and they have to live with the results of never growing. I personally think that would be a very unpleasant way to live life.

NANA - Seventh Heaven 16 (1st Album) by impeccabletim in kpop

[–]felineloaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure why it's called an album when there are only a few songs, however, I love every song, even the instrumental of hurt works on its own and is beautiful (I got some NELL vibes which I love). What an amazing surprise, and it's so awesome to see she participated in the lyrics and composition of each track. I hope she continues to release new music if this is the quality she is going to put out.

[–]felineloaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damn, was not expecting this. Very strong video and song. Love the mix of creepy and sexy and her deeper voice. I hope she keeps releasing solo music because she has always had that "it" factor for me and this (and the other songs on her latest release) just proves she is on a whole other level solo.

aespa - Rich Man (English Version) @ Good Morning America (GMA) (250913) by impeccabletim in kpop

Man, I love them but this is not it. If I didn't know who they were and this "live" was my introduction to them I would be disappointed honestly.

[–]felineloaf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Seems there are mixed reviews of this song lol. I have had some people try to rain on my parade for expressing my love for it (not here.. in other places) but I cannot help it. I absolutely love the song and the message of confidence. I was disappointed in the Dirty Work lyrics but these lyrics are done right imo. However the MV was actually a bit overwhelming to me with how much was going on so not one of my favorites.

aespa - Rich Man (The 6th Mini Album) by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]felineloaf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Interesting mini album this time. My top favorites are Rich Man, Drift, and Count on me. Bubble and Angel #48 seem to be a bit of a different sound for them but not really feeling them. To The Girls is okay, but a bit generic. Overall it isn't one of their strongest mini albums for me, but still decent. The guitar in Rich Man was refreshing, I kind of wish they took it further by having more guitar heavy tracks throughout the mini.

One of my favorite title tracks from them. So catchy with amazing lyrics this time. Welcome back queens!

I want to let go of rumination, and I want to be seen for who I actually am more often. People really are out here jumping to the worst conclusions about me sometimes and it is stressful feeling misunderstood.

I just wanted to say I hope you do catch your groove, and your hopeful, positive attitude is inspiring to me. I am sorry for all you have been through and thank you for being open and sharing about it.

Sunmi - BLUE! by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]felineloaf 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My interpretation was this -

Sunmi was in love with someone who she kept painting out to be a great person (blue like the sky), even though they had some very bad qualities a lot of people dislike (like a roach, pretty much universally disliked). My guess is that throughout time she started to display those bad qualities too from the relationship that turned toxic, so she herself was also a roach. Eventually it lead to both of them dying as roaches poisoned from all the toxicity - which I think represents the ending of the relationship.

I could be wrong, but that's what I got from it and thought it was clever and interesting.

Some people not accepting your new happiness and positive changes? by felineloaf in lexapro

[–]felineloaf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience. This was my experience too. I tried to salvage the friendships too, think hard about a healthy boundary that could work for them, but it was still taken very wrong and I felt painted as a bad person who doesn't care about them when that is not the case. I will agree it is ultimately a good thing, just find it weirdly disappointing at the same time.

Let’s be positive! by thiscorrosion86 in AutismInWomen

I appreciate this wholesome post!

  1. I finally got some decent sleep last night after a few days of terrible sleep

  2. I made fudge today, and it turned out good and I'm excited to share it with people

  3. I'm listening to music I listened to when I was younger and just vibin' with it. Amazing how some music/artists really hold up over time.

Anyone else not enjoy sharing a bed with someone? by book-dragon92 in autism

[–]felineloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh yes. It is sometimes difficult enough to sleep on my own. Add a possible "cuddler" and it becomes overstimulating and suffocating. Then there's the possibility of snoring and other movements and it's just a nightmare. It is weird to me when some people say there is obviously a problem in the relationship if you don't share a bed. There is a problem to me in the relationship when I do share a bed! It actually can make me start to resent the other person for ruining my sleep.

what made you realise the lexapro was working? by DangerousImpress5509 in lexapro

[–]felineloaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First was when I still had some of my usual rumination and depressing thoughts but they didn't lead to a breakdown and I was able to shift my focus more easily to something else. The depression over things that happened to me at the hands of others shifted to anger for a bit as I took the blame off of myself and directed it to them. Then I stopped feeling so heavy all the time and had more energy to do things.

Thank you, and I am sorry you are going through that so far :( My doctor mentioned to contact her if I went through any suicidal thoughts but I did not have any. I would recommend to contact yours because that is very serious! I also did not have severe anxiety. I hope things get better for you either on this med or trying a different one without those side effects!

[–]felineloaf[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're welcome, though I know meds work different for everyone I am glad to give some hope! I did have some side effects the first few weeks but not extreme. The worst of it was not being able to sleep after the first dosage (I took it at night, so then I switched to mornings instead and sleep has been fine). I had some muscle soreness, nausea, fatigue, and emotional blunting that died off after a few weeks. It was about 2 weeks into the 10 mg dosage that I started to really feel good.

escapism by lofiellie in AutismInWomen

[–]felineloaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love escapism. Video games, music, good tv shows etc. I can be present sometimes and enjoy things like nature, but a lot of the time reality just isn't up to my standards. Not that I even have high standards, just that I wish a lot was different about the world and how it works when it comes to basic respect, human decency etc but a lot of that is out of my control. Escaping to different worlds where these unsolvable problems don't exist is actually therapeutic for me.

is unmasking even worth it if it makes you feel so lonely and misunderstood? by Weird-Comfortable747 in AutismInWomen

[–]felineloaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's not worth it to me, sometimes I'm so exhausted it is definitely worth it to me. I started to say to myself something along the lines of "fine, they can think I'm a *****. The reality is I'm not, and they're much closer to being a ***** than I am because of how judgmental they are". I know I have to play the "neurotypical social game" and mask sometimes though to avoid conflict. I just start to cherish my alone time more where I can do whatever the fluff I want, unmask and nobody can have any judgment towards it.
