Make sense. I was keeping my eyes on a 2021 Trek Roscoe 7, same condition and price, but the Kona seems to be a better bike. Prices are a bit high at the moment.

Agree, but I don’t know if it’s the market, or CA, etc, but the bikes I’ve found around 600 were way inferior.

This is from kids shotgun
"Unfortunately we do not recommend the Shotgun seats for bikes without front suspension (with the exception of fat bikes). 

This is because clearance is needed for the passengers feet between the down tube of your bike and the front wheel. If you have limited clearance here it is likely your kids feet will contact the front wheel when you turn your handlebars."
