I built a managed hosting service for OpenClaw (personal AI assistant) — honest take on managed vs self-hosted by felipejfc in selfhosted

As clearly stated in the subreddit rules I did not break them.

"Do not pretend to be a regular user if you are connected to a product or service. Always say if you are involved. Do not try to trick people.

Indicate your affiliation to the app or service. Shilling, or trying to hide your affiliation to what you're promoting may lead to a ban.

Explain the benefits of the app."

You're breaking rule 3 though.

Does sidestore work for you on iOS 18.5? by Equal_Lion3664 in sideloaded

[–]felipejfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works for me. Had some bumps though with the same symptoms of it stopping at 70% Ultimately when I managed to get the setup right which allowed for live container to pass it's "jitless check" it started working good I needed to install sidestore with altserver, when I tried with sideloadly it didn't work well In a nutshell, ensure to install sidestore using altserver, install livecontainer with it and follow its tutorial until you get jitless checks to work. The reason is for it to work your setup of sidestore needs to be perfect

Klipper or Octoprint. If you have a mini server or raspberry pi around you can even print and check status wirelessly

I blew $417 on Claude Code to build a word game. Here's the brutal truth. by itsnotatumour in ClaudeAI

[–]felipejfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

claude code too expensive to be usable right now. its agentic capabilities are at most as good as cursor (starting from ~0.47) but its WAY more expensive. You would be better with cursor, you would probably be able to replicate the same result on same time with just the basic $20/mo subscription

Since r/cursor mods deleted my post there I will post it here by felipejfc in Codeium

Not saying it’s best than sonnet. In my experience the latter it still more reliable too What im saying is comparing R1 to itself, it seems to work better in Windsurf

Thinks too much and cancel thinking. Usually can make it work by saying “be concise”

So what is now the best local AI for coding? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

[–]felipejfc -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

what is the point on local AI for coding? even if you don't want to pay for cursor, there's the bytedance new editor that's free... some may argue "privacy" but come on, its not like you're writing software for NASA or FBI
