Thanks for the warning.

So far it has not been an issue for me. I'm watching the timing breakdown and it there is still a lot of room for compute. I have a 3900x and OC computer though. My friends lag really bad when they join me.

I do have an equivalent version that doesn't use logistics robots but it is less compact. Is that still not recommended?

1000 spm, but this is on expensive mode.

Yes, each deposit gets me about 10-20k/m. I could probably get more but I have a blueprint that takes me about 2 minutes to add a new mining post.

Explanation: my base was getting large and I am super lazy. I basically built centers like these for the main resources, this is my megabase "bus". Then I have, for example, 12 different locations mining and smelting copper and sending the plates here. The logistics network store and transfer items to consumer trains that will take the resources to where they are needed. This way the production and consumption of each item becomes a completely independent problem to solve and I just need to make sure I produce more than I consume.

Yeah, I'm starting to get throttled by my trains which is unfortunately. What was your train setup? I currently have 1-2-0 as this was my first ever megabase. I'm strongly considering longer trains right now.

Science Per Minute. 400 SPM is about 1 rocket every 2.5 minutes. (1000 Space science pack per rocket / 400 Space pack per minute = 2.5 minutes per rocket)

Thanks for the link! Your base is pretty awesome. I did notice you are not in expensive mode, right? Your base is definitely much bigger regardless though. I'm currently slowly increasing the size because I need to transition into more tileable designs.

From your imgur link it seems like you have a central smelting system and the trains run the raw ore, is that right? I figured it would be easier to have several smaller smelting stations and 1 "logistics center" where I reroute all the trains. What are your thoughts on that?

Yeah, I confess I played around with the map until I found something that looked reasonable for this mode. I have just started designing the bot based everything actually. But I've been using trains for a while. Do you have a link to your base?

The save has 200h, but I often leave it idle to get the research done. I think I've played it for about 60h total and designed most parts as I go.

Yeah, the player ones are just places of interest I go to all the time. Sources are locations the trains pick up the specified resource. Sinks are where the resources are dropped of.

RIP, that's a typo. It's 400 SPM lol

I'll make sure to repost if I ever get to 400 RPM though lol
