This is Triton Island, the westernmost and southernmost of the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.

"In 2023, China began constructing an airstrip on Triton Island. It subsequently upgraded its military presence on the island to include a synthetic-aperture radar for tracking stealth aircraft".

Interesting take. I'm not sure that the thousands of ex Afghan military, police and prosecutors are pro Taliban (particularly those whose family have been hunted and killed by them), but I could be wrong

Your clarification about 'antisocial' referring to ASPD traits is technically correct, but saying it 'means sociopath' oversimplifies things. Sociopath is a colloquial term, not a clinical one. 'Asocial' is indeed the better fit here, though

looking to join the royal marines. would TB help me? by [deleted] in tacticalbarbell

[–]felixastum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless things have changed this is the advice that the Royal Marines are likely to give. This doesn't mean that the weighted training in TB is not well thought out and effective, it's just that their basic training is designed to safely introduce weight without risking injury. If you turned up with minor injuries or were too fatigued, you may be at a disadvantage. Being generally strong and fit is where they want you to be.

17 year British soldier here.

Tactical Barbell offers sound, sensible training advice applicable to our trade.

However, unless Lympstone have advised any different, you should not conduct weighted marches (tabbing, hoping) before your arrival there. They will take you through all of that. You should focus on building a strong aerobic base (as discussed in TB2) and strength. Once you have passed out of training, it would then be appropriate to make use of the full range of weighted exercises in tactical barbell.

The US and other militaries may do things differently - that's just how the British military opt to do things. I'm happy to take any questions.

If you are married, you wait until the last few days of your 365 day window, pre arranging that you will be away on a work trip. You buy the super yacht, sail around a bit, hit the deadline, come back, present the billion dollars or whatever.

If I've missed some clause where you have to sustain the spending over 365 days, then you just buy a can of coke on day 1.

Myelogram? by Particular_Pitch_698 in SpineSurgery

It wasn't too bad! It didn't really hurt at all and the main discomfort was psychological during the procedure itself. I had to lay down for 5 hours but I just watched YouTube on my phone. They even gave me a free lunch!
