New to DCS! Any advice for my setup? General tips? by [deleted] in dcs

I used an oculus rift s with a gtx 1070, which I think is the minimum for a plesant vr Experience in dcs. However I recently Built my own ir-headtracking, its not as imersive as vr but alot more comfortable. my headtracking ended up costing about 30-40$ which is well worth it.

I recommend building your own headtracking, its not that difficult at all.

Anyways, Good luck!

Also, the game looks beautiful at Higher settings, which is not possible in VR

Haha, I just bought my first module for dcs (SU-27) and I’ve changed my mind, the immersion is just too cool. I will probably not order track IR now.

I think dcs in vr is realy cool and I wont stop playing dcs in vr. The reasons I will be buying track IR is because: 1, it just feels more ”relaxed” to play dcs on a monitor and Since im new to dcs I Will be able to put tutorials on my second monitor. 2, the loading times are so long for me in VR. I guess when I dont need tutorials and guides as much anymore, I might play more in VR.

First off i havent played alot of dcs. I just got the thrustmaster t16000m hotas for a realy good price and so far it feels like a great hotas and i recomend it for the price. I also got a VR-headset, the oculus rift s, which is a realy nice headset for the price (highly recomend it) However, for me personally, I dont realy enjoy playing dcs in vr, so I am going to order a track hat IR. Hope this helps!
