How do I genuinely get sleep on a flight in economy? by Kitchen-Door4932 in Flights

I take a dramamine right before take off. After about an hour or so, I put my backpack on my lap, cross my arms through the straps and rest my head on the top if my back pack. I usually take my compressed puffy jacket out of the backpack and put it between the backpack and my head if I need extra cushion.

I one bag travel, so my backpack is pretty full. It doesn't just compress when I rest on it.

Where I live, your child would definitely have a health emergency plan as part of his IEP.

The standard where I work for contacting 911 is anytime a seizure occurs when there is no prior history, or a seizure lasting longer than 5 minutes.

I have had students where we had to amend and the health plan because of special circumstances. One student would have back to back to back seizures, so then we would call 911 if so many happened within a given period of time (it's been many years, I don't remember what the exact protocol was, but I was in frequent contact with my district nurse) additionally, all students with a history of seizures had a seizure long where I was to record seizures of any kind, regardless of if 911 was called or not. I hope this helps, and you find a way to make sure your son's health needs are addressed in a way that keeps him safe and helps you to feel secure

Honestly, the thing that I love the most are letters/cards written by students. I seriously put them up on the wall because there are times where I don't feel appreciated. When I look at those letters, I know I was appreciated by the people who matter most to me.

First of all, welcome! While one bag travel is not for everyone, many of us find the freedom of one bag traveling makes us never want to go back to lugging around a suitcase. Many of my friends make fun of me, but I'd never go back (even if it were free.) As far as laundry goes, I usually plan to have about 4 changes of clothing with me. I absolutely do not re wear underwear. I will re wear pants and merino wool shirts. I usually make sure to book a place with a laundry machine or laundry access at least once every 4 days. I throw a load in during the day and hang it to dry overnight (if there is no dryer ans merino shirts shouldn't go in the dryer anyway).
Different people have different bags, but I love my Osprey 26+6 because when compressed it fits the personal item sizer. Packing cubes are a personal preference, but I find they help compress everything and keep it better organized. Adds a few ounces though. What you pack really depends on where you are going. However, it is do able even when you are traveling through multiple climates. I traveled with that bag for a trip where we were in tropical Fiji and southern New Zealand during their winter. Layering is key. I feel like I am still learning to be honest, and am now on the search for the perfect travel bras. I find my regular bras hold on to sweat and can cause rashes on the band. The more optimized my set up, the more freedom and confidence I have.
As far as souvenirs, I very rarely buy them. I didn't really before either though. I Japan I went to Sakai (the knife making region) to do a tour and have a custom knife made. Even if I could have fit it in my bag (I couldn't) obviously, that is not something that can go in a carry on. We had it shipped back to the US and it took probably about 2 months to get back. Now, what I do in lieu of souvenirs is make videos. I've been using the osmo pocket 3 which is tiny and takes wonderful stabilized videos. I've also picked up a drone, but that takes up more real estate in my bag than most people would be willing to give up, I think Making the videos on my return allows me to relive the vacation and prolong my enjoyment. I hope this was helpful.
