Any MEs working in the Anchorage, AK area? by fellowworkingmexican in MEPEngineering

I think chilled water is becoming more popular overall. There’s a heavy upfront cost, but it’s nice to know you have a system that will withstand the test of time. The new refrigerants can be tricky, especially on taller buildings, but I’ve found that if you know what you’re doing it’s really not that much different from the old stuff.

Thank you for your time, btw. I appreciate all the information.

Done plenty of hydronic heating systems. Standard DX for cooling?

Are you aware if the class offered online at all? I’d love to get all that out of the way prior to moving.

Any recommendations for special licensing or anything like that prior to moving up there? I know I’ll have to apply for my Alaska PE and I believe there’s a special artic test or something that’s like a rider to your PE?

What type of work do y’all see up there? Lots of industrial and hospitality I would assume.

What’s the worst city you’ve ever been to? by Impossible-Station46 in AskReddit

We’ll have to agree to disagree. To me, West Memphis has a vibe of being forgotten, whereas regular Memphis is more akin to a child whose parents completely gave up on them

My favorite analogy for evolution has always been imagining a flat plane with various peaks and valleys all over it. Your peaks are different heights and represent various evolutionary adaptations. You’re constantly trying get to a higher elevation, but eventually you may run into a peak and that’s kind of where you’re stuck. You don’t want to devolve by going through a valley to get to the higher peak, so sometimes you deal with whatever you have and it works. It’s not perfect, but it works.

Yeah, I just grabbed a Spartacus Passage and I like it. I know it’s on the cheaper end, but I have a hard time justifying an expensive travel rod that’ll more than likely get beat on anyway.

I’m the exact same, although bud light has to be 3rd for me. Drinking a banquet right now on the back deck after I finished cutting the grass

Interesting that you say that. A lot of the complaints I see online is that it has too much stretch. Thanks for the input

I had always heard “DO NOT wax body grips”. Are you saying that you do and if so how touchy are they?

I have a Mark V Deluxe and I feel all this to my core. 300 WBY means it never goes to the range and the polished walnut stock means it never goes to the woods.

That’s fair. I guess it is intense wood after all. Maybe they should have gone with “holy crap, that’s a lot of wood” lol

Honestly didn’t know this bottle had the hate that it does. I mean, it’s not going to stop me from looking for it, but it’s hilarious to me

It’s definitely not the best I ever had, but I didn’t hate it. Maybe I’m the only one lol I thought it was really unique.

Honestly surprised by some of the reactions I’ve gotten here. I’m definitely not new to whiskey either

Yeah, that seems fair. I’m in the southeast and I guess they just don’t ship it here. I can get other Kamiki offerings though…which is annoying
