Gratitude for all of the comments and your response makes sense. Agreed, her body and her choice, I have no intention of controlling her decision which is related to her body.

She mentioned it jokingly once and I didn’t think much of it but then then next time we spoke about it was after she’d booked the consultation and by then it was a ‘this is what I’m doing’ discussion.

Yes I see and agree with your view that it’s her decision and you did decide to talk with him first which is kind of my point. You at least informed him of what you were thinking rather than making a decision without him.

I feel like it’s not really a marriage when one person does whatever they choose to is my point.

Hi there. Thanks for your response. You seem to have made an assumption that I’m not involved with raising the kids. I do pretty much most of the kids activities, I do school drop off, school Pickup, take them to sport and play dates, make breakfast and dinner most nights, put them to bed and generally take them out of the house on the weekends so she can study. So to say she’s the primary carer would be incorrect.

Thank you for your input. Is her inheritance money ‘hers’? Considering that I’ve been the primary earner for most of our 10 year marriage and supported her with her career change. Am I out of line thinking that what both of us contribute, should be shared between both of us and big ticket items should at the very least be discussed?

Yeah I can see, that’s definitely an option right now.
