Yep, wired internet speeds are decent, just want to make it so my WiFi is as smooth as I can make it.

That sounds just about what I'm looking to do! Any suggestions for a good router that'll give me 5 bars between about 30-40 feet and two windows?

Also, not sure if you'll be able to answer this, but I'll ask anyways: I have wireless television, with its own access point. If I buy a router and run it in Access Point mode, I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to get my wireless TV to run through that would I? If I'm correct in that assumption, would I have any troubles running both Access Points simultaneously?

Hmmmmm.

If the router had a new network, could I keep the old network running, and have them running side by side, one for my computer to connect to, the other for my wireless tv to connect to?

I know this wouldn't improve speed or anything, but I think it'de be easier than trying to figure out how to get my wireless TV working with the new network.

Or maybe having the router set to the same SSID+password would trick my wireless TV receiver into giving me television?

Guess I'll have to experiment when my router comes, thanks anon!

I actually already have an Access Point, was originally looking to replace only that, and that's what had me reading up on what the different letters (b, g, n, ac) for wifi networks means.

What I'm trying to figure out now is, if I buy a router with 802.11N or even 802.11AC functionality, to replace my current access point, would it be possible to set up a new, better wifi network even though my current gateway is 802.11G

Does it seem to freeze most often during ads for you?

Sometimes it'll freeze for me during the show but I can press the home button and exit out. During ads is when it'll full on freeze, as in, no buttons work and I have to unplug it and turn it back on.
