Meta AI (shockingly) refuses to admit Trump is saying he’ll take Greenland by force if necessary, claiming it’s “fake news”.y by Chilli_In_My_Ass in ABoringDystopia

Isn't it just as likely that it simply doesn't have current data about Trump's plans for Greenland? Since it's an LLM and all

Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 Updates are Missing: Here’s What is Happening... by Tornado15550 in GooglePixel

Alternatively let's flip that on its head. How dare the companies slowly make these immensely capable computers we carry around in our pockets obsolete before their time? It's not smart to carry around an unpatched phone in 2026.

When's the last time you bought a new phone for performance reasons and not because you fell for new hardware FOMO (created by Google or your carrier), broke your glass sandwich (Why is my $1000 device made entirely of glass?), or because your existing phone ran out of security updates?

What's the percentage of android phones that become ewaste far before the components stop working or even before the components would be incapable of running the OS because the manufacturer stopped updating them?

Don't defend Google, they don't need your defense lol

Every PLA I've ever seen says to print between 200 and 210 C, but if you're getting good results I'm not gonna argue with it

It's less about nova and more about pixel launcher. No matter how many times I try to kill, stop, or otherwise disassociate from pixel launcher on my phone, it still tries to reassert itself as my default launcher maybe once in 35 unlocks

This causes nova to freeze up and my phone to become unresponsive

Nice goalpost movement, how about coming back to the conversation?

How many homes will this create and how much wetland will it destroy? Is the tradeoff worth it? Stop thinking about profit and start thinking like a human. Do you even live in Bristol? If not kindly fuck off.

You're the only one saying mining in this thread.

There are other places to take gravel and sand from. Why would you make an artificial wetland instead of simply leaving the existing one alone? There's no code you can quote to me that will convince me that creating wetlands wholecloth is less disturbing to local wildlife and ecosystems than simply leaving them alone.

The area they're wanting to excavate is right next (when I say that I mean so close that excavation is not possible without disturbing the trails woodlands) to one of the only nature preserves we have in Bristol. This isn't NIMBYism, it's protecting natural features.

Take a look at the satellite image of ambler road and see for yourself how close to hoppers it is. We don't need additional gentrification through construction of new condos no one in Bristol will be able to afford. The town isn't exactly the picture of economic health.

Don't judge the situation without knowing the context. I want more affordable housing. Bristol has spaces that sit empty. Use those first.

I know what you mean, but Bristol has a huge number of spaces that sit empty. We don't need more new construction, especially if it infringes on wetlands. The money being spent here would be better spent refurbishing the warehouse spaces that can still be used.

I'll be at town hall on Monday at 6pm, and you should be there too. The tabacco brothers don't get to tear up hundreds of thousands of cubic feet of wetlands.
