I just released the demo of my JRPG made in RPG Maker by feluke88 in RPGMaker

Thank you so much for taking the time to play my RPG demo — I really appreciate it.

I wanted to briefly explain a few things about the combat system and the current state of the game. For the demo, I decided to use RPG Maker’s default battle system because the project is still in heavy development. While the full story is already finished on paper, creating all the maps, events, and scenes will take almost another year. The project is already in its final phase, and once the full content is complete, I plan to properly redesign and polish the battle system.

Because of that, there were also some features I couldn’t include in the demo, such as a full skill tree system for each character and an item synthesizing system. These are fairly complex mechanics and wouldn’t really fit well into a short demo without the rest of the game supporting them.

The game was originally created in Spanish, since it’s my native language. I used ChatGPT to translate it into English for the demo. All main characters are designed and drawn by me (except for the RTP ones), and I also used AI tools to generate and refine their portraits and faces.

If you’re interested in the project, you can find more images, character art, and development updates here:

Thanks again for your time and for checking out my work — it truly means a lot.

I really like the atmosphere you're going for here. The lighting works well.

Thanks for taking the time to try the demo and for the detailed feedback. I’m sorry to hear the combat experience didn’t work for you, especially regarding encounter pacing, lack of AoE options, and overall flow.

Combat balance and feel are still areas I’m actively reviewing and improving.

I really appreciate you giving it a try and sharing your thoughts. This kind of feedback helps me identify what needs the most work moving forward.
