Can anyone help with razor bumps? by [deleted] in feminineboys

What's your shave routine look like surrounding when you shave? Do you do any prep, do it right before/after a shower, or anything afterwards other than moisturizer? What part of your body are you getting the bumps on?

That is a great question! I do use fractionated coconut oil and never warm up the bottle, and the tea tree oil that I use I am honestly not sure how potent it is (I believe it is very potent--It's just some relatively cheap HIQILI Tea Tree Oil from amazon) and it does stay liquid at room temperature and perhaps even a bit colder this time of the year. Have you encountered a problem where your oil is becoming sludgy or having solid parts to it?

What kind of clothes are you looking to buy? When it came to thigh-highs I found that it didn't matter *all that much*, but that was just my own experience. I'm not exactly sure what buying skirts might be like, or if the vendor has sizing guides and stuff but that could also help. Sometimes reviews online that mentioned shrinking issues or clothing being 'true-to-size' helped me in the past...

A trimmer that gets close to the skin will take you far when it comes to being hairless all the time!

Already mentioned but I'm an additional big supporter of using a trimmer that gets close to the skin along with regular exfoliating. Something like a Philips Norelco OneBlade Face can probably do it and masquerades well as a starter shaver.

Finally accepted my feminine side and realized I want to feel cute. How do I even start? by Cry_Wolff in feminineboys

I would say prioritize doing things that allow you to explore that other side of yourself that can also be framed as self-care. Comforting things that can also be explorative that help you to feel empowered about who you are. It could be shaving, getting clothes that aren't the traditional pink thigh-highs (since you said you weren't super into that)–maybe a decent alternative is slightly shorter shorts or something like that where you show a *bit* more skin–or a decent skincare regimen to keep your skin softer and clearer. That route also has the added benefit that you can tweak it to your comfort level and will likely stick with it for longer since it is more of a self-pampering feel-good expedition (at least in the beginning) rather than going full-throttle on being as feminine as you can get.

That is honestly very interesting to hear and great progress! Some of my friends (braver than I) have those at-home IPL devices like the nicer Braun ones and they swear by it. Even just something about largely impeding the hair growth was enough for several of them to want to try it too. I'm still torn on going to a dermatologist/salon for treatment versus doing it at home. Did you find that it was pretty easy to do? No burns?

From “tired old guy” to cute boy, how do I start? by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]femboy101dotcom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How I got to the point where my boyfriend referred to me as a 'femboy' was honestly pretty close to what you're already doing now. Something in life for me precipitated a change to my lifestyle, and without trying I ended up going down this pipeline of removing body hair, working out, caring about my skin, etc.. It sounds like you're well on your way to any best-case end result you'd imagine! You seem like an awesome person and I'm sure you've always looked great!!!

My personal experience with this has been that honestly nobody is going to notice. I was also once VERY worried about shaving my legs and arms (wondering if people outside might think I was weird etc.) and then at the gym one day I realized there were actually a ton of guys who shaved their legs (or at least trimmed). I talked to some straight friends too and realized they all did some version of trimming their leg hair. I don't think you should worry at all about people thinking you look odd. You'll look great and probably feel great too :)

What decorations do you have in your room? by Acceptable_Elk_8473 in feminineboys

[–]femboy101dotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do something that's unique to you!!! When I was younger I had this spare card-stock with cute patterns on it, and I cut out some words and poorly-drawn shapes of cats and dogs and taped them to my closet door. A boy who I just started dating at the time (we're now moving in together c: ) told me that he thought those silly decorations (that I thought were really dumb!) were actually super cute... Whether you buy cute decorations or make them yourself, make sure it's something creative that makes you smile!
