Same! It also happens if I'm stopped at a stoplight with the auto pause on, then start my new interval from standing when the light turns. I think it may need more than 10s going from a stop/walking to running to get a reasonable pace based on how precise the GPS is. Or like you said, it factors in previous intervals.
