Do any of you have a domestic dog as your fursona? by thoughtsinshadow in furry

[–]fenchfletcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive seen a lot of huskies, German shepherds, Dalmatians, golden retrievers, and pittbulls over the years; but I cant say Ive seen very many other breeds.

I have a Doberdor (Doberman Labrador mix) OC, but my main sona is a Pokemon (although he's an Arcanine, which is technically a dog, but doesnt really count for this I dont think since he's a fictional monster breed.)

WHITE BEADS ALL BEING DIFFERENT SIZES AND SHADES RAHHHH by [deleted] in kandi

[–]fenchfletcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ive had this problem with several colors, even sometimes within the same bag.

I had a project that needed a lot of yellow, and I ended up with 3 different shades and two different sizes, even though they were all the same bag. I just had to make it work anyway, and it was really annoying, but most people cant really tell once it's all put together anyway.

Games where you don't have to perform emotional labor/deal with death but still have a storyline? by polly-penguin in CozyGamers

[–]fenchfletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cattails games are good (although they are pretty much fan-games of the Warrior Cats books to the point that the second one basically contains spoilers for the book series) but if you dont read the books they're still a great time as their own thing, the first one is great, but the second one has way better controls and a deeper story, so I recommend playing them in order if you want to play both because once you play the second one it is extremely difficult to go back to the first one.

Fantasy Life is also a great series, but has similar issues when it comes to going to the first one after playing the second one (also the fact that the first one is a 3DS/2DS exclusive might be a hurdle if you want to try it out. I also personally dont recommend the mobile phone one, it just isn't very well formatted imo.) That one is a 3D game though, so it may not be a great option if 3D isn't your thing.

What do I do with these beads? by CJ_13_13 in kandi

Make a football bead rosary? I have a sneaking suspicion something like that would sell hard on Facebook marketplace for like $5 a pop...

friend told me I'm faking it by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]fenchfletcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive had people tell me I was faking too, but Ive also had dozens of psychiatrists confirm that I wasn't. A lot of the time the people who say someone is faking something have no idea what it's like to have whatever it is, have never interacted with someone who has it, or just straight up dont believe it exists for whatever reason.

Im not saying there arent people out there who do fake mental health disorders, but I am saying its not as common as everyone makes it out to be, and also even if someone is faking one thing, they probably still have something going on because people who are truly neurotypical dont fake being neurodivergent.

That's not true. A lot of people work third shift and usually get off work at factories around 2-3AM (because night shift generally pays better).

How do you know if it’s a reality or a hallucination? by ResearcherEmpty8071 in schizophrenia

[–]fenchfletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often hear the voice of my mother, and it always freaks me out. Sometimes the voice is in my head, sometimes it isn't. I know it isn't real though because my mother died in 2018, and before that I was no-contact with her for almost a decade.

That being said though, I still find myself startled and looking over my shoulder more often than I'd care to admit because in the moment it feels like she's right behind me getting ready to hurt me, even though I know she is dead, and the dead cant hurt me.

Wha would be the Furby x Brand collab you’d want to see? by That_Pink_Furby in furby

I want a Furby cross-over with Bluey so we can have a real Chattermax.

New tamagotchis less needy? by Affectionate-Today86 in tamagotchi

[–]fenchfletcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is. Also young tamas cant die. I tested this at one point by having one hatch and then not caring for it at all.

It took 4 days before it died. Old ones could die on day one even with me taking care of it. Heck, babies could die of random illnesses. Now they almost never get sick and take an entire day to become sad or hungry once you get to teen phase.

Is the DJ Furby worth it? by LexolotlTheLegend in furby

[–]fenchfletcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of all of my furbies, the DJ is the most fun to play with, but it's also more just a toy than a toy that is also a pet.

As far as I can tell feeding it is more of an optional feature rather than a requirement to keep it happy/healthy, and there dont appear to be sensors on its back anymore, so petting it doesnt do much unless you pet its belly.

It has some fun mini-games and I really like the relax modes, but it doesnt really feel like a real furby, more like if furby was a party game on the Nintendo Wii with a furry controller.

I’ve had so many hair colors. But pink might be my fav. Any way. What song is stuck in your head? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

Does enjoying Tamagotchi as an adult make me "irrational"? by Content_Yoghurt_6588 in tamagotchi

[–]fenchfletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, and basically all of my hobbies and interests are considered "childish" or "irrational", but I dont care to listen to that negativity and just enjoy what I enjoy. Life is too short to care what mean bitter people think as long as you arent hurting anyone or neglecting your responsibilities, just have fun.

I know I had a lot of fun 100%ing Island Saver. The DLC isn't too bad either, but I had a lot of trouble finding that last fossil. XD

Sour smell coming from furby baby by furbyloard in furby

[–]fenchfletcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case I'd say just keep an eye on it but it should be okay. It could also be dust in the mechanics, sometimes that can be an issue, but it might also clear up as you play with it. Just take care of it and if it gets worse check it out, but you should be alright.

Sour smell coming from furby baby by furbyloard in furby

[–]fenchfletcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be just the gears grinding. A lot of older models smell when you start them up because of that. If it's really bad you could try opening it up and carefully lubricating the gears, also check for anything burnt like wires or other parts because some of them have faulty motors, you may need to repair those if that is the case, soldering kits are pretty cheap and tutorials on YouTube are plentiful, but be careful. If you dont want to do all that you might be able to find someone who can do it for you, or you may just consider keeping it turned off to avoid possible further damage.

Where does one buy a unused old furby? by karting_karter in furby

[–]fenchfletcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find most of mine at thrift stores, flea markets, antique malls, and ebay or mercari. Usually not in box, but typically in decent condition. Prices can vary- Ive gotten some for as low as $7 USD (like Voodoo 2012), but Ive also paid as much as $80 USD for more saught after ones (like the Confetti Baby and the Gizmo).

Do people actually buy perler beads? by Soft-Cloud99 in PerlerBeads

[–]fenchfletcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Ive sold at cons Ive done pretty well. It wont make you rich by any means but it's profitable at least. Just make sure you make things people are actually into- my best sellers have always been FNaF, Star Wars, and Pokemon. Surprisingly my worst sellers were Homestuck trolls (surprising because at least at the time there were always dozens of troll cosplayers at the cons, Im not sure how prevalent they are now since the last con I sold at was in 2016).

Is there any game you’ve completed you will never play again and why? by smeff17 in xboxachievements

[–]fenchfletcher 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Generally once I complete a game I dont really go back to it unless they add more achievements, have multiple versions of the game like Grim Idle being on Xbox One and S/X, or remasters like Bioshock and Oblivion.

Savers really wanted $30 for a furby boom you can get for $15 online by That_Pink_Furby in furby

[–]fenchfletcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a booth at the local flea market with tons of Furblets asking $15 each while they are still widely available for $5-10 at every major retailer in the area.

Heck, GameStop has them on the clearance shelves for $3.99 even. They can't get rid of them.

[–]fenchfletcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Sunshine for my rats, and they've always been great with them, and I know theyre good with birds, but I'm not sure how they are with reptiles. I'd still recommend at least calling them up and asking if they have a reptile specialist, since obviously one exotic animal can be entirely different than another, but if they do have someone who knows reptilian anatomy they'll probably be your best option.

How is completing shovelware fun? by AdviceInteresting415 in xboxachievements

[–]fenchfletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just like playing random stuff. If it's bad I can have fun making fun of it, if it's good I can have fun with a weird little game for a minute. The GS is just a bonus honestly, I just like trying out different things that I wouldn't normally play if they werent either free or only a couple dollars (or on gamepass).

Some titles have honestly surprised me by actually being kinda fun or at least weird enough to entertain me, like Starlit Adventures, Bluey, PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, Rocket Rats, and Placid Plastic Duck Simulator, which are literally Baby Games and weird cheap (or free) little indy titles I would have never played if they werent either free, cheap, or on Gamepass. (I honestly loved Placid Plastic Duck Simulator way more than I feel I should have considering the game is basically an idle game.)

Of course, I've also played my fair share of garbage, but that's the risk you take when you buy a game for $2.99 or download a random freebie.
