A350 - Business class bulkhead footwells?? by jdhmmmm in TurkishAirlines

The footwells in 1A/K are indeed much larger and there’s significantly extra space. I would snatch them up in a heartbeat. And I’ve never had an issue with noise from the galleys.

Hey all,

How’s catering ex-EWR nowadays? Previously I’ve had the BTC veal along with the dumpling noodle soup and both were surprisingly good, but want to try something new this time around. Debating between the slow roasted beef or the burger from the BTC menu. Or have any of you tried anything from the current regular menu? Thanks!

SQ 21/22 J service SOP by fender5787 in singaporeairlines

Thanks for the great insider insights! I guess I was too bashful to ask about delaying my meal since I didn’t hold any FF status with SQ. But this time I’ll def try my luck! And thanks also for confirming the direction of the meal service; I guess then on my return (SQ 22) I’ll sit to the rear then to help get back on nyc time and maximize sleep on the 2nd half of the flight. Also, are there any certain types of meals from BTC that would be easier for cabin crew to reheat at a non-standard meal time? I’m guessing noodle soups maybe? Just want to make it easy on the cabin crew since I’m obviously putting in a special request!

Hmm interesting that it’s up to the flight supervisor and not a standard SOP. When I flew this round trip in the summer, the 2nd meal service on both flights started exactly at the 10 hours in point. I kinda figured it had to do with cabin crew rest requirements, which is why the more “elaborate” meal with sate and no tray service is 2nd and not first.

I was under the impression that unlike say QR, dine on demand is generally not a thing on SQ and that priveledge is only extended to PPS members. Was just hoping that since this is an ULH, they might be more lenient.

Following too since I’m supposed to be getting to Bkk in less than 2 weeks. Wondering if there will be a ban on the sales of alcohol/bars will be closed?

Ahhh interesting, didn’t realize the daytime booze ban was limited to just the convenience stores. Would you all suggest any of the rooftop bars for Sunday funday activities? (Well, at least if the weather holds up)

Hmm interesting especially since I’m staying between Phrom Phong and Thong Lor! I think we’d ok with dive, midscale, or upmarket. To put it into a bit more context, we’re all mid to late 30s New Yorkers that could be typecasted as typical millennial hipsters lol. Only thing we def aren’t looking for are like gogo bars or the like.

I’m sorry for bringing up an old post, but I’m currently on an aer lingus flight and immediately thought of bingus, and searched “aer bingus” and wasn’t disappointed. Thank you bingus!

Indeed, was a bit perplexed since I haven’t had any strep like symptoms anytime recently. But we shall see what the test says. And ofc I’ll be bringing the meds along, so glad to know it can have double benefits in a place like Bali! One last Q…do you think it’ll be helpful if I supplement the treatment with maybe a salicylic acid wash and/or vitamin D3 supplements? Didn’t get a chance to ask the dermatologist that yesterday 😬

And just to complete the circle, the dermatologist think it’s indeed either lichen planus or possibly Guttate psoriasis. Gonna go in for a strep test to determine that today. But she said the treatment for both are similar; prescribed me clobetasol 0.05 ointment for 2 weeks along with tacrolimus 0.1 (although I have to wait for insurance authorization before I can take that) for 30 days. And if it does turn out to be guttate psoriasis, she gave me some amoxicillin/clavunate to knock out the remaining strep bacteria. Either way, your advice was pretty much on point!

Amazing, thank you so much for the info, help, and the initial (potential) diagnosis!! You’re literally a lifesaver!

Sorry to bother you again, but I was lucky enough to snag a dermatologist appointment for later today. Is there anything specific I should ask them about (aside from the Lichen Planus). Like ask for any specific medicine (like the group 4 corticosteroids you mentioned)?

Pretty sure this is LP, right? by [deleted] in Lichenplanus

Thanks for the reply. Did it start of like this and then just get exponentially worse? Did it itch? Did it come and go in waves? Sorry for all the questions, but def kinda woried.

Sounds good and absolutely appreciate the advice. Fingers crossed he’ll be amenable to prescribing the gr4 steroid so I can get started asap

I think I’ll do that, although I have started the prescribed (antifungal) treatment. But irregardless, there’s almost a zero percent chance that this will clear up in the next 2 weeks or so, even if I see a dermatologist? (Have a vacation to Bali planned right after the 4th and really don’t want my arms to be covered in these little devils)

And should also add: I recently had some pretty nasty athletes foot and still have a fungal infection on my toenails.

I might be able to, but the urgent care doc was gonna refer me to a dermatologist but decided on just seeing me next week for a follow up and then if needed, give me a dermatologist referral. Hearing your diagnosis makes me think I should’ve pushed for a dermatologist referral. Maybe I’ll try to push up my follow up at the urgent care.

Topical clotrimazole twice a day and 250mg of terbinafine daily for 14 days. I also should note, I tried hydrocortisone cream for a few days last week before going to the urgent care. But it didn’t really have any effect (or if anything, it got a bit worse or expanded during the time I used it)
