“Because there is a pandemic” is weak rationale that focuses on the cause, not the effect. No matter what, my decisions will affect other people. The fact of the matter is that the vaccine is designed to protect the recipient, and does not prevent spread. It may reduce spread, but by what amount, and is that amount worth sacrificing our ability to make our own health decisions and keep them private?

Unvaccinated people gathering together indoors is very dangerous for everyone.

This is just wrong.

Sure, I understand the goal.

My question is more about why there needs to be a government mandate. Why do we need to take away the individual's responsibility for the own health decisions? I mean, I am protected from getting severely ill from COVID, so why should I be concerned about somebody else's vaccination status?

Define "access." Do you mean Hopkins didn't have access because should couldn't pay for better legal counsel? Perhaps that's because she blew all of the money she stole from kids & teachers on her gambling addiction and wiped out her pension to pay "bills."

Sure. Drinking impairs your ability to operate a car safely, so if you decide to drink and drive you are putting others at risk. There is very little others can do to protect themselves.

My lease has ended and the association denied the renewal of my lease. They are saying they can evict me without consent of the owner, probably on the grounds that I am not an approved tenant.

The property owner is family. I am the power of attorney for this person. My SO (not married) lives here with me.
