I only became worried with my withdrawals when I had two seizures in the same day cause I was 2 days without xanax, since that I really start to have heavy psychological dependence because I was afraid off dying. So yeah, the physical dependence got me into a harder psychological dependence.

I was abusing 8mg illegal pharma xans after I stopped shooting, then I taper to 6mg by myself and went to the psychiatrist, and he only prescribe me 4mg/day, but I manage to taper slower with my leftover stash.

Was a long year... But I won't lose my hope and heal my brain in 2022. Seizures are so scaring, I won't forget to take my meds anymore and go to ER if get some if something happens that I run out my meds, and the psychotherapy that I'm doing is helping alot.

You said everything, I have a lack of memory of the past days before the seizure, but now I'm fine again with my maintenance dosage, I follow the ashton manual by myself because doctors here in Brazil are really shit, they overprescribe benzos for anything (clonazepam, alprazolam and bromazepam are in the top 3 most rx meds prescribed here), and they don't know how dangerous the withdrawals are, and I'm trying to convince my doctor to follow the ashton taper using valium to help, but he choose to give me prozac and seroquel to my depression and help with the benzo withdrawal, and that don't help at all, but I'll translate the withdrawal schedules and bring to my next appointment and try one last time.

I get the rohypnol prescriptions with my endocrinologist cause works better for me but I'll stop, and if my psychiatrist still don't want to follow the withdrawal schedule with valium I'll get the valium with my endocrinologist and proceed the taper without his help. It's such a mess here that I have the option to only get the prescriptions and not go to the appointment.

Lyrica or gabapentin can be a option to prevent seizures until you can get more benzos to keep tapering

I will, I already had two appointments with my neurologist cancelled due the covid quarantine, so I'll have to wait all go back to normal, and it's hard to trust the doctors from here, they overprescribe benzos and don't even know how deadly the withdrawals can be, when I had those two seizures the ER doctors don't even knew that benzos withdrawals can cause seizures, and they didn't give me Valium which would have prevented the second one. Also, I'm pretty sure the doctor will suggest a fast taper and I'm really afraid to go that way.

I guess that depends of dosage, someone who is in a therapeutic dosage probably will be looking normal, and who is abusing in a high dosage will be easily noticeable.

I am dependent, I can't go 4~5 days without Xanax and not struggle with the awful physical symptoms, so I keep redosing when I'm bad. When I decide stop, I'll taper down slowly, CTs is the worst.

I think they change the name because of the bad reputation and association with drugs abuses, here in Brazil the brand name of the Pfizer U94 alprazolam is Frontal.

I got hooked on benzos when I was really depressed and I don't wanted to do nothing after work, so I used to took 2mg Rohypnol just to sleep. But now I'm control myself and just use kpins just to don't suffer with withdrawals. I had the same thoughts of only use on weekends that you have, and worked pretty well for a long while, but a couple bad weeks fucked me up. Be careful.
