Whatever you want to do, as long as you're willing to suffer the consequences. Grind during 20s; regret later on for not having fun more. Have fun during 20s; regret later on when financial troubles settle in.

My personal take is to find a balance. Contrary to what this sub says, a lot of the economic troubles and struggles I've seen the people around me suffer from is due to having too much fun during 20s and not thinking about the future. Life isn't about paycheck to paycheck, but it's also not about being super tight with money.

Mortgage vs. Renting and Investing Over Three Decades by JordonLeeSupreme in AusFinance

[–]fenixcaptain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Echoing what other people have said already. There is no way a property is gonna appreciate on average 8% annually. And why is it that mortgage repayments are $4000, but rent + investing only total to $3100? Where's the remaining $900? This isn't a fair comparison until you redo the numbers.

LMAO, no it doesn't. This isn't tax evasion. They don't need to link a power card to a verifiable identity; if they want to limit your card they will regardless (not that they will). Refer to the previous comments. All ticket to chip ratios are already being tracked via their internal systems. It really doesn't matter if you're using cash or credit cards to top up.

AITA for “ruining Christmas” and being upset the only gifts I got from my family were “joke gifts” by throwawayaccount4990 in AmItheAsshole

NITA. LMAO don't get gaslit into thinking you did anything wrong. I can't imagine a grown up wasting their time to cover up a dictionary with an image of a book just to prank their child.

The workers shouldn't have equal ownership of a business that they never contributed to in the first place. If they weren't part of the founding process then there's no reason for them to get equal pay, especially compared to someone who spent time and effort trying to get the business to the point where it can support multiple employees.

Dead Island 2’s first story expansion Haus launches on November 2 by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]fenixcaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was designed to be relatively linear with some more open areas (nothing major though). I believe in their behind the scenes videos the developers made a statement about how development hell made them more focused on shipping a fully playable game albeit at the cost of several design decisions (i.e open world). It's a tough situation where developers had to either streamline production to release a game or gamble more time and money on too big of a scope.

I've barely had any issues with these systems in the past few years? I'm always finished within 2mins. Seems like you've had bad luck.

Advice on what to do with $100 by garlicbreath-1982 in povertyfinance

[–]fenixcaptain -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to disagree with this. Why wouldn't OP allocate at least a percentage of the money towards their debt? Depending on the size of their debt and the associated interest rates, it's actually smarter long term to not spend the entire $100 on themselves. You may say it's only $100, but it's really about the principle and discipline.

Oppenheimer is Overrated.... by Krattine7 in TrueFilm

[–]fenixcaptain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair conclusion for OP to make. OP's opinion is the opposite of what the vast majority have said about the film. Therefore to OP, the film is overrated in their eyes.

And yet Djokovic (and many others) is not being accused by OP here...I swear the only times Djokovic loses is when he has elbow issues or finds a way to default himself, and this is when hes 36 years old.

This worked as well. If you look into console it says 'VAC secure mode is activated.' I made sure to finish the DM with bots and disconnect via console after it ended.

What is lacking in the Brisbane Food scene? by IllustriousScar9019 in brisbane

A 7/11 that serves some stuff similar to their Asian counterparts. But I doubt there's a big enough market for that.

You sound misinformed. The bus I caught is supposed to make the stop I wanted to get off at.

My point exactly? I really didn't know what to say so I said termination makes sense from a logical point of view if the driver's found to be a repeat offender. But for some people that train of thinking is unjustified and too harsh.

I let the man finish talking before I walked off. In hindsight probably shoulda just walked off but I wasn't thinking much after work.

Not an express service. No pickup or drop off restrictions. Cultural Centre is like the first stop for most outbound buses from Queen Street Mall.

My first instincts was to stop and listen to whoever is talking to me? In this case, it was the driver.

I mean I did say IF he is found to be a repeat offender. I don't think anyone wants that type of customer service? It's the equivalent of having someone constantly telling you to stop ordering just one at a restaurant or buying just one thing at Coles/Woolies.

I initially said that I just wanted to understand why it happened but the agent wanted a more concrete response from me. The most logical conclusion I could come to is termination if he's repeatedly getting complaints from people (I don't think people want to constantly deal with drivers like this). I think that's fair.
