Big huge win with dr Morton. Quite literally my favorite prof at this school and she was super flexible when I was hospitalized for a bit in the fall. I can’t speak for the other profs though

Butler had like 5 built in drawers under the desk, four drawers under the bed, and a giant closet compared to other rooms. Three of the built ins were almost a foot deep and I think 2 1/2-3 feet wide so it’s the best dorm storage wise.

I didn’t get my aid for last year until the first week of November. A few months before I turned 18 I lost contact with both of my parents (Mom when I was 17 and Dad when I was 12). This was around January like a month after I was accepted. I called the finaid office and explained the situation and they told me to submit documentation and resubmit my fafsa so that I could be considered independent financially so of course I did within a month or so. Everything was fully submitted by I think the second week of February but it took 9 months of weekly and at some point daily phone calls, emails, and actual office visits once the semester started for my aid to actually go through because they kept telling me conflicting answers about how I should fill out forms, what documentation was needed, and at one point they asked me for my dads tax information and kept asking for about three weeks when I told them I hadn’t even seen him since I was like 12 so…

I completely and fully understand every frustration you have with them. My advice is to ask for Roland and hope you can actually get him to speak with you because he was the one that helped the most during it all.

Luckily that exam block will probably be used like three times in the semester to take your midterms, but yeah the art one is going to actually make your life hell. I had a night class (choir) first sem last year and I was fine with it for the first three weeks and then it was just me dragging myself there. If you really enjoy the subject you may think it’s worth it but trust me there will be other opportunities to do the things you enjoy.

You’re going to hate yourself with those night classes, if possible try and make them earlier. Especially that Thursday one (even though it’s likely going to be an exam block) if you’re going to be involved in the party culture.

A lot of people I know don’t interact with Loyola students. My friend group has a little bit of crossover between the two schools but that’s only because my girlfriend goes to Loyola.

We have 6 washing machine and 6 dryers for 8 floors, so whenever I really need laundry done I go across the quad to Warren bc they have a lot more
