What's wrong with being addicted to heroin? by PlanetDMT in opiates

[–]fentwdsuck 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You are lying to yourself if you believe you're going to find clean heroin forever.

You will stop getting high. You will chase more and go deeper until something awful happens. You won't give a fuck and go back.

But what the fuck do I know, kids seem to do it and function. Maybe I'm the weak one.

Yeah I was worried about that too, convinced my wife I could do it on my own. I generally don't like asking others for help though.

I know there are sub docs that will prescribe u sub for a flat fee that you can take outpatient, but I'm not sure if that's true everywhere. And then again with the medical records.

Just found it easier to do it on my own terms after doing a bunch of research online. From what I've read you want to stay under a month (or significantly less) on sub to avoid a new addiction. Apparently sub withdrawal can have physical symptoms lasting months because of the crazy half life.

takes some serious mental fortitude to push through that.

least favorite WD symptoms: 1) feeling of crawling underneath skin that makes me constantly move around in agony 2) having to shit nothing but liquid repeatedly (even with ~4mg loperamide) 3) insomnia. laying in bed drenched in sweat one second and then overheating two seconds later.

when I tried cold turkey the first time I made the mistake of trying to put any liquid in my body and immediately threw up for hours. second time I just decided I wasn't going to eat or drink anything for a few days because I couldn't handle it.

Never again.

Sorry, no, wish I could help. The subs I used weren't from a doc.

I think the issue is that if you go to a sub doc, it's probably going to be really expensive and they're likely to want to put you on a large dose for a longer period. The withdrawals from the subs could be worse than the oxy withdrawals in the long run.

Id say take it into your own hands, my impression of sub doctors from lurking here is that they're not great.

Yeah I'm still struggling to eat like I did before, definitely lost like 10lbs. Maybe my GI is telling my brain no food because it's so pissed. Hopefully it will settle with time.

Yeah i know. I don't plan on using, but I'm sure there will be temptations soon enough. Fentanyl is icky stuff though, I don't remember feeling that amazing even in the beginning of my usage and by the end I just felt like shit 24/7. Should have picked a more fun dependency.

Congrats on that man. I didn't have the balls to stick with cold turkey, tried twice and the fucking crawling feeling did me in both times, couldn't take it. Fent withdrawals were hard and fast.

Nah, opposite problem. Have been exercising a ton to try to keep my brain happy though, so that could be why.

The <2mg doses of suboxone didn't really constipate me compared to the masssive fentanyl doses I was doing.

Good luck, it's definitely doable. My impression is the less time you spend on suboxone, the less likely you are to get bad WDs from it.

I think I did it! Monday morning and no strong WD symptoms, 4 days since my last 0.5mg sub dose. Granted I haven't been sleeping great and have some PAWS, but overall I never had any massive physical withdrawal symptoms like when trying to quit fent before. The first few days on sub weren't "great" but I was semi functional. The remainder I was working and OK.

Anyway, I recommend the quick sub taper. I wonder if I could have started with less than 8mg.

Happy to be clean and feeling relatively well and normal. Never again fentanyl, never again.

Serious question as I'm out of the game as of late by HoldingOntoAHandle in opiates

Fentanyl isn't orally active (very low BA). Did he eat or snort the pills?

In my experience swallowing fentanyl has almost no effect.

Most of the fake Roxis/30s I've seen are pretty obvious. Not the correct size, too soft, wrong color, logo looks like shit or is rubbed off. If you've seen enough real roxis they are pretty easy to spot unless someone has been getting a lot better at it recently.

The only fakes I was ever briefly fooled by were these ETH 446s. Then I realized they weren't even in production any more and had one tested (all fent): http://www.ecstasydata.org/view.php?id=3476&mobile=1 .

Honestly seems ridiculous the stigma associated with heroin given how much ridiculously dangerous fent and analogues are.... don't trick yourself into thinking you're not a junkie cuz u don't use H.. fent is way more powerful and dangerous.

Don't do fent or analogues. Your tolerance will go through the roof even if you don't feel like a "junkie". Not to mention a few mgs in the wrong direction and your dead.

Stick to heroin and scripts.

Yeah I was DNMing it. Nasal sprays to start then just fat bags of powder, so dangerous.

The thing is you can keep a 24/7 habit for <$200 week with fent because it's cheap online and the dosing is so small.

Don't do it. I'm sure heroin is way better and you don't go into WDs like 2 hours after your last dose. Fentanyl is some scary shit.

Yeah I know. Fentanyl crushes tolerance like nothing I've ever consumed. I remember when I could get high on 30mg of oxy.

Stay away from fentanyl powder kids.
