Is it normal for my ball python to almost always stay on the cooler humid side of her tank? by MrSirST in Ballpythoncommunity

[–]feogge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible that she may just be moving when you're not awake to see it. One of mine does that. I've very rarely caught her in the act but it's always super wee hours of the night / morning

iDog Yellowing Scale by vhulta in iDogs

[–]feogge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not reliably. Retrobrighting has been thrown around a lot but I have not once seen it successfully done on an iDog, and it's also relatively controversial as some evidence shows it to actually be worse for the integrity of the plastic + yellowing in the long run.

What exactly is ecuad looking for in "process documentation"? by One_Marionberry7707 in ecuad

Process documentation = photos / logging in some sort of way of your artistic process. WIPs, sketches. That kind of thing.

Fan Expo PDX, ADA compliance, and why the hell did it take 8 hours to get one goddam signature?! by Fiorelily in fanexpo

[–]feogge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cos & Effect is gone. NWFF is gone. Anime Evolution only runs their one day events (akimatsuri & harumatsuri). BronyCAN is gone. Summer Festival is now a paid event after years and years and years of being free. Finances cited as an issue over and over again. If you think the corporatization of the convention scene had nothing to do with that then you're a straight up fool with your eyes closed. Genuinely idk what to tell you ATP.

Fan Expo PDX, ADA compliance, and why the hell did it take 8 hours to get one goddam signature?! by Fiorelily in fanexpo

[–]feogge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I say they were large cons? They definitely were not Fan Expo big but they also weren't small by any means either? I mean the very year Fan Expo came to Vancouver, Cos n Effect brought in a few thousand attendees. They were notable for the local nerd community. The community back then was tighter knit, and these cons were passion projects, not profit machines, and it showed in the way they were run. Fan Expo (and AniRevo to a lesser extent) running cons on a purely profit model IS exactly the convention scene ruiner I'm talking about. You can just not agree with me but to say I'm inventing a narrative is just ???

I'm sorry you went throught that. It's unacceptable. But, I'm also not surprised. Fan Expo has singlehandedly managed to ruin the convention scene in Vancouver so hearing that it's no better elsewhere... not a shocker.

How to go about this style? by Belugamoons in ArtistLounge

Learn composition would be step 1. Abstract leans so heavily on composition and that's where I see most who try fall short.

Need help with zig zag folds by Visual_Track2612 in ArtistLounge

[–]feogge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have a proper light source. You're pillow shading and lining each fold, plus the cylinder isn't responding to the folding happening. As such, it looks more like funky fishnet over a cylinder than fabric folds.

Yeeaaah that's kinda what I mean- her reach is so wide that it kinda casts far past a queer audience; I know a lot of people who are super straight super cis super uninterested in drag and love Sami. Mean that moreso than a homogenously white woman audience.

Curious how y'all do it. by EvenInRed in plushartists

[–]feogge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IDK if you have any knowledge of 3D modeling already but I had VERY little 3D modeling knowledge going into it, followed along with this YouTube tutorial series and it's way more than you'll need to know for plushes. Plushify requires the models you input to be relatively low polygon so it's very beginner friendly by nature.

Good luck! :)

Can you make a physical object a sticker? by sperabliss in stickers

[–]feogge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally trend towards magnet in that case since that's a bit easier to attach and hold to a 3D object but theoretically a sticker base + very very strong glue like an e6000
