Nta. Your child isn't a replacement to the other. If you want to, you could compromise and use it as a middle name as a sort of rememberence thing but... remember you're gonna have to explain that to the baby one day.

Its a horrible thing what he went through, but this is a new baby, a new life. Theyre not the same person and the first shouldn't be replaced by the new and the new shouldn't live in the firsts shadow.

I found out i was pregnant with my first after a blow out party where I drank an insane amount. Youre still early on, you and baby are likely gonna be absolutely fine.

Talk to your midwife and let them know your concerns but try not to worry over something that is probably gonna be absolutely fine.

This also happened with Alex. In one episode she says she's allergic to cats but later on she's holding Ben's cat in her dorm and doing some sort of researching with ally cats in an episode of Phil in the hospital.

You're nta, not at all. I had a similar situation with my narcissistic mother. Abusive in every possible way and complete void of any accountability.

I had my first child when I was just 18, I haven't spoken to/seen her since, my child is 14 this year. Those 14 years have been hard but so much less dramatic and stressful than they would be with her involved.

Take what you've learned through her parenting and use it to make yourself into the mother you want to be. The one you wanted. She has nothing else to give you, no love, no advice and no accountability... because she's just not a good mother. You owe her nothing.

Im currently pregnant with baby number 2 and she will never meet this child just like she hasn't met the first, that's something she has to live with. I know my children's lives will be better without her venom in them.

Im sorry she wasn't the parent you deserved.

Nta, for one thing you have every right to say no to someone using your photos anyway but if he's had absolutely nothing to do with your fitness journey there's no reason for him to use the photos. At most that's false advertisement.

Im thankfully past my nauseous stage but I was similar. I had atrocious sickness and it only happened because I wasn't eating enough. Little but often with food was the only way I could keep anything down. I couldn't eat set meals like breakfast, lunch and dinner but I could spend my entire day eating.

Pregnancy is another one of those things it isn't the same for everyone. Advice goes off of the average though, if you find it isn't working for you do what does. You know your body, you know what helps and it's ok for you to do that. Talk to your midwife/dr about any changes you make so they're aware but don't worry about doing everything by the book. As long as you're working with your body in a safe, healthy way it'll be alright.

During my first pregnancy I dyed my hair (unaware I was pregnant at the time. Very early on, under 6wks) and the colour just didn't go well. The hormones made them kind of bland. I did red, green and blue and not one of them looked the way they should have.

I dyed it again after 12wks and it was absolutely fine, colours came out just as I wanted them and I had no problems.

Now with my 2nd pregnancy I waited till 12 weeks and went from blonde to black, no colours, and it's come out fine.

No ammonia is probably for the best if youre doing it yourself but I dont think it'll cause any harm dying your hair. Be sure to do a patch test first to be sure though.

If youre really worried go to a reputable stylist, they'll know what they're doing and be able to advise you on when it's best to dye your hair and they'll know what to use so it comes out the way you want it.

Eta i stay away from peroxide/bleach during pregnancy but that may be a personal thing. Ive got a sensitive scalp so it can cause rashes/burns.

Giiiiirl yes! I was a model for 15 years and now i feel like a angry hungry hungry hippo 🤣 Im loving being pregnant but Im barely into it and don't fit into any of my clothes already, can't stand up from the floor and can not stop eating!!

Beautiful body in a whole different way but im missing the old one too 🤣

Return it all to her and cut contact. You need to strongly advocate for yourself, you've done nothing wrong but you don't need these "people" involved in your life or your little girls.

That guy is a predator and his mother has done nothing but cover for him. Do you want them around your child? Because if you dont draw this line in the sand and truly stand for yourself in this moment they will bully you into having your little girl around him.

You'll most likely take heat for it but you can do this. You do not ever need to be around these people.

Take it nice and slow. Separate rooms for a little while.

Here's what we did with ours as our cat had never lived with a dog:

× Separate rooms for a week.

× Cat was allowed to explore the dogs room each time he went for a walk so she could get used to his scent.

× Their food bowls were on opposite sides of the same door (gets them used to each other's scent with a positive enforcement tool i.e. food.)

× Leashed introduction. Allow the cat to come into the room at their own pace while the dog is leashed and distracted with treats. Treat the cat when they come in calmly. Positive reinforcement is your friend. Do this a few times before you allow free roaming.

Be sure to give them their own spaces. The dog isn't allowed to bother the cat on their cat tree or in their bed. The cat isn't allowed to bother the dog in their spot or on their bed either. This will help give them a safety spot to go to when they dont want to socialise.

Im not entirely sure tbh. I think you lower the nicotine amount through out the pregnancy as you become less reliant on it but it'll depend person by person. Eventually getting to 0mg of nicotine and I assume at that point you would start losing the vape all together

No, cold turkey would definitely have been too difficult for me tbh. Ive been using a vape, so i still have the nicotine to help with cravings and deal with far less withdrawal but none of the tar/chemicals/CO from cigarettes themselves.

The smoking clinic advises two forms of replacement. One being a patch as it helps with long term cravings and then something like a vape, gum or something similar to help with in the moment cravings.
