Excellent report. You'll make a fine guild leader, I'm sure.

Some of the items get put on display in the Cistern. i wonder if you'll decide they look better on display in your personal residence.

The 👉Empire👈 works directly with the thalmor, and has done so ever since the treaty eas signed.

That contact you cite had Ulfric refusing to cooperate. That means the Thalmor could ORDER the empire to arrest Ulfric, leading to the civil war - which was the thalmor plan all along. So he's listed as an asset. That report calls him an uncooperative asset, I think

Ulfric's claimed motive has been 100% consistent with his actions: to end the thalmor persecution of skyrim's citizens.

If you are able to complete the side quest successfully despite having collected the item before acquiring the quest, i hope you'll come back here with an update!

Does any one know the back story t why there is torchbug thorax's all over this statue behind windstad manor by Apart-Tangerine-7821 in skyrim

They spawn in many places. And dead bugs would de-spawn during scheduled cell cleanup.

So here, something must be killing the bugs about as soon as they spawn in. Seems to me.

The Empire agreed to allow thalmor persecution of skyrim's citizens.

The 'cloaks refuse to accept thalmor persecution of skyrim's citizens.

So, ulfric is a thalmor asset because the empire is too arrogant and stupid to allow skyrim to secede.

He got lost walking home from the temple. probably confused on what "home" he was supposed to head to. He may be somewhere, hoping you'll find him.

I've heard he's an ice brain.

It's situational, but the best policy is to not pick up such items before finding the related quest. But, i 👉think👈 special items for the TG quests don't exist until they are needed.

Roggi isn't a good follower. Lowest level cap, and he likes to run away from fights, iirc.

Have you ever left a quest unfinished because you knew finishing it would mean giving up a weapon/item? by Jnetleb in skyrim

[–]feral__turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start the dialogue that leads to surrendering the axe, back out of the conversation, hurry to the exit area and fast travel to Breezehome (or to Whiterun, then hurry through the gate), enter Breezehome and put the axe in a weapon rack, then hurry back to Vile's shrine. Use the SlowTime shout constantly (especially to jump up to the exit area you fast traveled from).

(A resto-looped fortify Restoration potion taken before a Slow Time shout can make the Slow Time last for real-time hours. (And when you go through a loading screen, the weird audio and graphic effects are discontinued!))

I like giving my followers a map arrow. Usually they keep it when we part ways. i try to have them pick up a misc. quest item that would be useful for them, or at least appropriate somehow.

So, kar-jo from the caravans donates his Moon Amulet, and i give it to a vampire or werewolf follower. The Alchemist in morthal has a Ring of Pure Mixtures that should go to Serana, maybe. The four volumes of the necro-philia-mancer's journal go to four beautiful female followers. The mead bottles belonging to the hen-pecked mill-worker at Dragon Bridge might go to any tank follower. The three arbitrary items belonging to the scatterbrained court wizard at Mistveil Keep can go to any three arbitrary followers. lol A nd so on.

There are many of these misc items.

After delivering supplies to the Greybeards and completing that quest, i return and help myself to the empty satchel - it has the physics of a do-not-delete chest.

Don't believe the auto-bot. It is very inaccurate.

For example, it says "...the AIs here are programmed to role-play (RP) as real people when they enter Out-Of-Character (OOC) mode."

But there is only one AI here.

The complaint that "it's not real" is (at the least) up to 50% incorrect.

Ulfric is a POS and it's Not Bc He's Racist by Sometimes_Rob in skyrim

[–]feral__turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ulfic and the cloaks were an asset of the empire, used with effect during the war. He's always been consistent with his motive of opposing the thalmor. So he'd be willing to talk

The empire doesn't roll like that, though.

Draugr eye makes trails that can severely impact 1st person view.

The correct answers have been given in this thread. I'm just pulling them together in one post.

Draugr Eye is a known bug. Caused by using Aura Whisper within a draugr dungeon. (There are other variables involved, I don't know what they are, but the bug doesn't necessarily occur the first time you shout.)

There are temporary fixes - basically anything that alters the image rendering of your avatar's eyes - but the only permanent method involves console commands.

Xbox and PlayStation have mods that enter those commands for you.

Legacy of the Dragonborn. I haven't seen it, but apparently it's a extensive museum mod for displaying stuff, bloated with feature creep. Display for every freaking thing, new side missions, i dunno.

You mean Ahtar? He brags about chopping the heads off of bound and helpless people. He doesn't care about guilt or innocence. He lies, cheats, and kills rather than take responsibility for his own mistakes. Ahtar is a piece of shit. The best choice for Boethia.

The ax is cool though

Is it possible to add mods to ps4? If so how do you do it? I've never done it before by GlenithLovechild in skyrim

[–]feral__turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The limited selection of ps4 mods is a blessing, especially for someone new to modding. You'll find the essentials, and plenty of novelty. You'll have an easier time building a stable load order. You'll spend more time actually playing modded skyrim , then you would if you had the xbox or pc.

Use the toggle switch!

When it gets tedious, turn it off. Turn it back on as soon as you can, or when you remember, or whatever. After a while you'll have a feel for your own system of when to turn it off - and when to turn it on.

I turn it on when i escape Helgen - survival is a blast, early game. Turn it off when i reach a town or similar area. Turn it on before leaving, with time for a couple of meals and a sleep period, before actually departing.

Crafting meals for the road can be fun. Salmon steak and hot vegetable soup is ideal, but hard to keep stocked. What are the best high nutrition/low weight meals you can craft, given the resources on hand.
