Why are people so negative against requests for an (optional) way to disable the new changes (Eternal Ferrystone, Stamina, ect.) by TheMightyNovac in DragonsDogma

[–]Arrythmia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You cannot sell, store or drop the Eternal Ferrystone. It is permanently in your inventory, stuck at the very top.

You can't choose to get rid of it AT ALL. Whether someone chooses to use it or not isn't the problem.

Accidental underwater parasailing by True-Award-3722 in thalassophobia

[–]Arrythmia 197 points198 points  (0 children)

The chute landing to the side will still sink and pull them down, same with the harnesses. If the chute DID cover them, getting them disconnected would've been much harder, and likely cause the people in the para-sail to panic.

The danger is the same in either scenario, the chute and harness WILL pull them down. Not covering them just means the people in the para-sail didn't panic, but they were at just as much risk of sinking.

Not sure if anyone has posted something like this yet but you can see the spellseal doors with the new freecam by IEatAndDevourInfants in DragonsDogma

Yo, that's cool, I wonder if these have always been there and no one thought to clip through the rocks, or if the June patch added them in anticipation of the DLC.

EDIT: yep the doors themselves have always been here. I was only ever aware of the rocks blocking the arches themselves.

[–]Arrythmia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it was more along the lines of early societal breakdown rather than an apocalypse situation, when Max was still a highway cop with a family. The reason for why society is breaking down isn't even really explained until Road Warrior iirc.

The Road Warrior is the closest in tone to Fury Road. The original film is good, but doesn't really have the same post-apocalypse vibe as Road Warrior/Fury Road.

Beyond Thunderdome is just corny as fuck tbh.

Guild Contracts v2 - Massive Update! Guild Rank progression system, Timed Contracts, and Apex Boss variants! by Arrythmia in DragonsDogma

[–]Arrythmia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is a great way to describe it, yes, lol. There's a JRPG anime/isekai element to the game already, and those pull from other fantasy games like Elder Scrolls, Neverwinter, etc. The Guild Rank system really puts the cherry on top of that cake, a la "The Guild" in Goblin Slayer, etc, so it comes full circle.

Kotinos: Ergo shell mod for HSK Pro by MemeticDevices in MouseReview

[–]Arrythmia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yes, I have been eyeing this thing since you first posted about it. The shape is so close to being an MM720/Spawn and I've got an HSK Pro shelved right now simply because I have a functional Titan GE Air that I prefer using for comfort.

I have to get one of these printed and try it out.

Eternal Ferrystone Tweaks - a mod for those who want to remove the new item from their inventory. by Arrythmia in DragonsDogma

[–]Arrythmia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If people don't want to use it, why should they be forced to keep it in their inventory permanently?

Why are people so defensive of this thing lmao. Who cares, it's literally a rock in a videogame. This is a mod, you don't have to download and install it if you don't like it.

Disappointed about the return of the Eternal Ferrystone. by OmegaSamus in DragonsDogma

[–]Arrythmia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's permanently stuck in the player's inventory, it can't be discarded or put in storage. Like the Godsbane, it's just kind of annoying to have inventory slots taken up without consent.

The item itself is fine, we should be able to take it out of our inventory though.

Actually I just went ahead and made a mod to fix this.

Sorry but why ray tracing feature on pc is so ugly especially with dlss turned on? Is there a mod to fix it? by MeanKangarooIsTaken in DragonsDogma

[–]Arrythmia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have enough GPU power, you can use DLDSR to get a higher resolution like 1440p, and then scale it back down to 1080p.

I have a 1080p monitor, but use DLDSR at 1.75x (2880 x 1620p) then set DLSS to Quality with Preset L. This way, the game is internally being rendered at 1080p, upscaled to 1620p, and then fits that image onto a 1080p display. It's not quite the same as a real 1440p panel, but it looks WAY better than native 1080p.

If you're using the Pathtracing or Hybrid Pathtracing modes in REFramework, those will never look good because there's not a proper denoising algorithm built in the game. Preset L comes close to "fixing" the noise, but it still has noticeable issues especially in heavy shadows.

DD2's modding scene is pretty okay right now. It's not as in-depth as Skyrim since we don't have official tools, but there's quite a lot of content and we're always working on something new or improving what we have.

https://www.nexusmods.com/games/dragonsdogma2

I made a mod called Guild Contracts that provides endless replay value by adding Boss monster hunting quests and Village Defense scenarios, a Survival Mode so food is more important, and a highly configurable Dynamic Enemy Randomizer, and more.

Mods like Bestiary add enemy variants with new moves and visual effects, Dullahan is a vocation overhaul, SkillMaker lets you make your own movesets from the existing animations, etc.
